{Song of the chapter *Hurts so good*
By Astrid S}

Basement being the mausoleum of silence, broken only by the rhythmic thud of leather against the bone. Chains rattled in sync with each brutal hit, the overhead lights flickering like dying moon, casting long, distorted shadows.

In the center of the room, a heavy punching bag swaying rhythmically, every impact reverberating through the space, Angry Blood dripping steadily from it, pooling beneath it, mixing with the grime and sweat that clung to the floor.

Inside, the culprit was barely alive, slumped and broken, but the ruthless mafia boss wasn't about to stop any soon. His fists, already raw and bruised, crashing into the punching bag with a force that was sending shockwaves through his body.

It wasn't the bag his angry red eyes were fixed on but the ghost of a memory he was trying to kill. The weight of every punch wasn't death for the man inside, but punishment for himself. For the chaos inside his mind. For the words that wouldn't leave him alone.

I love you, hyung.

Taehyung's voice so soft, so vulnerable but true, echoed in the corners of Jungkook's mind, invading the dark spaces he had so carefully guarded. His breath was coming out in ragged bursts, each exhale clouded with rage and anger.

Each hit. Harder than the last. The chains were groaning under the weight of his fury, the blood soaked bag swinging wildly as though it could escape the torment. But it couldn't.

The room reeking of violence, blood, sweat and fear for the gang members those were there to witness it. But none of them had the audacity to stop Jungkook from hurting himself the best way possible.

No one was brave enough to shake him from shoulders to pull him back to reality because none of them was hoseok or taehyung.

They were just his men not family. So it was only option to watch the brutality happening with there eyes open until Jungkook himself don't decide to stop.

While the mafia boss was lost, despite the lapse between them he could still feel Taehyung hurting inside him.

How could someone like him, ruler of the underworld, the king of shadows, be loved by someone so pure, so angelic? Someone who saw light in him when all he'd ever known was darkness?

His knuckles already splitted open, colliding with the bag harder, sending blood splattering across his already-stained hands. The man inside whimpering his last breaths, a sound that could barely be registered in the dark haze of Jungkook's thoughts. He was on autopilot, lost in the violent rhythm of his fists and the suffocating weight of regret.

That gnawed at him, pulling him under, dragging him deeper into the abyss of his own making.

That's why he had left only to protect Taehyung from himself. But instead, he had left him alone, broken, waiting for someone who never went back to him.

Jungkook's teeth clenched as a fresh wave of anger surged through him, The adrenaline coursing through him was fueled by something darker, something primal, his need to forget .

To forget how Taehyung's eyes had looked at him like he was worth something. To forget how that confession had felt like.

His fist slammed into the bag again, the impact causing a loud crack to echo in the room. And mafia boss stepped back, panting heavily, wiping the sweat and blood from his brow. The bag was now swinging lifelessly, the painful groans and whimpers now had replaced by eerie silence.

Raven signed as he leaned against the wall all tired, catching his breath, but his mind was still drowning. How many culprits, how many useless lives he had taken in this time lapse but none could provide him the peace he wanted
