"You shouldn’t have gone to that bastard Chim. Please stop worrying, we'll find a way out." Soomin's voice was gentle like his touch yet laced with concern as he carefully placed an ice pack around Jimin's neck.

When Jimin could barely notice the pain as he was lost in his own thoughts, his mind was wandering aimlessly.

Well, when Soomin was around, Jimin never had to worry about himself. He was always there, protective and caring for him like a shield against the world.

He had been holding the cold pack against Jimin's sensitive skin for quite some time now, trying to soothe the redness on his neck because of what jeon did.

But when Jimin realized, he gently motioned for Soomin to let go, taking the pack into his own hands.

Even soomin could have sat by Jimin's side all night, holding the pack just to ease his pain. But jimin might not wanted it so he had to let go.

Ever since brunette had returned from his mission, he'd been distant from them, always keeping a certain space between himself and everyone around him. He was serious kind of person since ever but now he had turned just blank.

Soomin had been feeling a growing distance between himself and Jimin, like something had changed between them. He wanted to ask Jimin about it, but he didn’t want to seem insensitive to whatever Jimin was going through.

“Find a way? Find a WAY? My dear Soo, where exactly is this magical way?” Yoongi huffed, exasperated, as he was sitting across from them on a bean bag.

His laptop resting on his lap, and a cup of coffee was in his right hand, which he sipped in between attempts to hack into the USB.

“This f*cking sexy sh*t, Jung Hoseok, has locked down that file harder than Fort Knox, Not even my appa can help us about.” he scoffed.

They had been trying to find a solution for it for hours, but nothing was working.

It was now the middle of the night. They had just returned home from the station a while ago, taken showers to try and relax, and Soomin, as usual, had made coffee for the three of them.

Well about dinner, then Jimin had no appetite. The others had insisted to make him eat something, but eventually, they ended up eating without him.

Seeing their tired faces, Soomin thought it might be the time to lighten some mood.

“Your appa knows hacking?” he asked playfully, squinting his eyes and raising his brows as he handed Jimin his mug of coffee which he accepted with the free hand.

Soomin took his own cup and leaned back against the couch, in living room of Jimin’s private apartment, where they were dumping after the duty.

“I don’t know,” Yoongi replied, smirking.

“But he did hack my eomma’s software and upgraded it so that I could be produced.”

Soomin shot Yoongi a disgusted look at that and hurled a cushion at him. “You’re gross, Min Yoongi.”

Yoongi laughed, his gummy grin on full display as he dodged the cushion, careful not to spill his coffee on the laptop.

Yet Soomin's smile faded when he noticed Jimin wasn’t joining in on their usual banter. He wasn’t even trying to relax, just staring blankly into space.

Soomin sighed, wondering what he could do to lift Jimin’s spirits, even if just for a moment. He longed to see that beautiful eye smile of his, but he wasn’t sure if Jimin would let him get close enough to offer any comfort. So instead, he sat silently, deep in thought, until an idea struck him.
