Tae was sitting in the café, relieved as the next lecture was free. And there he was waiting for someone, a certain kind of guy who had been nothing but a waste of time.
Yet, despite everything, today Tae needed his help.
He brought the strawberry juice closer to his lips and sipped on it, trying to distract himself with continues thoughts of how to cheer up Hajoon.
His heart was feeling heavy with the weight of his unspoken words. Hajoon had never acted like this before, and Tae didn't have the heart to push him to share something he clearly wasn't ready to say.
Maybe Hajoon would open up with time, but it pained Tae to think about going on vacation while Hajoon was upset with him for reasons he didn't even know.
Tae could do anything to make things right, no matter what it took but he needed Hajoon's cheerful self back, the one who always lit up the room with his energy.
"I hope I'm not late," Scratch of chair against the marble floor broke Tae's thoughts and he looked up to see Baekhyun sliding into the seat across from him.
Tae's gaze hardened slightly as he was still lost in thoughts. No matter how much time passed, he could never forget what Baekhyun had done to Hajoon. There was something about Tae's nature, he was incredibly sensitive when it came to the people he loved.
Their pain was his pain.
He never worried much about himself, willing to forgive anything if it was only about him. But when it came to his loved ones, forgiveness was never in the option.
Looking at Baekhyun now, all he could see were Hajoon's tears. Even if Baekhyun claimed he had changed, a part of Tae would always blame him.
Was he selfish for holding grudges on behalf of others? Maybe.. Maybe that's why Hajoon had said what he said to him.
"Tae? Are you lost somewhere?" Baekhyun snapped his fingers in front of him, pulling Tae back to the present.
"Not really..." Tae muttered, trying to cover up his distraction. But then, as his gaze shifted to Baekhyun, and he noticed something.
Baekhyun was wearing the shirt Tae had given him, but it was tight on him.
The fabric was clinging to his chest, outlining his muscles in a way that made him look... handsome.
Tae blinked, feeling slightly thrown off guard. Tae's eyes lingered a bit too long, and for the first time, Baekhyun felt self-conscious under someone's gaze.
Even tho he had once been a fvck boy, he could easily stand nearly naked in front of a crowd without a care. But somehow, Tae's kind of gaze was making him feel nervous.
"D-don't look at me like that. I'm innocent," Baekhyun stuttered, trying to hide his chest behind his hands in an exaggerated, dramatic way, as he looked everywhere except tae's eyes.
Tae sighed, feeling both exasperated and disgusted by Baekhyun's antics and rolled his eyes back on him.
"Go wash your tongue with holy water for calling yourself innocent. You're the pure form of a well-defined sin," Tae retorted, his face scrunched up in that familiar look of displeasure.
"Wow~ no one has ever complimented me with such a sexy insult," Baekhyun grinned, taking the jab positively as he leaned forward, snatching Tae's juice and sipping from the very straw Tae's lips had touched earlier.
"Bloody ass," Tae muttered under his breath, turning his gaze to the window beside their table in the corner of the café.
"I heard that, peaches," Baekhyun teased, his dark eyes twinkling as he took another sip.
