Marceline's P.O.V.

I flew in my cave and kicked the door closed behind me. A text came in a few seconds later. Taking my phone out of my pocket, I noticed it was from Bonnie.

'Hey we need to talk.'

I frowned. This probably meant she was breaking up with me. What else could it mean? I waisted so much of my time on her and this is what she does.

None the less I flew to the Candy Castle and knocked on the window of her bedroom. She hopped up from the bed and opened the window. "Be quiet. My parents can't know you're here." She whispered.

"Why? It's never been a problem before." I crossed my arms. The anger I had before was now replaced with confusion.

"Because before my parents thought you were my friend. They found out about us and... they're really mad." She looked at her hands and pushed up her glasses like always.

"S-so..." My mind was flooded with thoughts, I could hardly speak. "What does that mean?"

It took her a second to respond. She was trying to think of a way to phrase everything that was going on in her head. We both were. "I guess we'll have to see each other secretly. Right now I'm grounded and I don't know for how long. And after that I guess I could say I'm going to hang out with Finn and Jake or that I'm checking up on the candy people but after awhile they'll get suspicious."

I exhaled and leaned against the window frame. "Why do they care so much anyways? It's not there life and it doesn't affect them in any way."

"Yeah." PB propped her head up with her hand on the windowsill. Our faces were only about an inch apart and I took that chance to lean in and kiss her, one of my hands on her neck. She kissed back. The kiss lasted a few seconds until she heard footsteps in the hall and jumped back.

"Go before they come in." She quickly shut the window in my face. I was slightly taken aback by this but got away from the window. Before I left I overheard,

"You're ungrounded but I don't want you to see her anymore."

"Yes, mom." I could tell by her voice she was trying not to cry and I wanted nothing else but to be there with her.
