Word Of Advice

Marceline's P.O.V.

I was slowly floating home. I can't believe that I have to go back there tomorrow. There was a rustling in the leaves. I looked around but didn't see anything. So I shrugged and continued to float around in the woods.

"Hey Marceline!"

I jumped at the sudden voice. Then I looked down to see Jake in a small form. He went to his normal dog size, "Didn't mean to scare you Marcy."

I smiled softly, "It's ok Jake."

"Something wrong?"

I shook my head slightly "I'm fine I guess."

He nodded.

I looked at the sky and floated on my back. "Jake..."

"Yeah?"

"Never mind..."

"Naw tell me."

"What are you supposed to do when you love someone but they don't love you back?"

He looked at me for a moment, "You just have to face facts. I believe that everything happens for a reason." I looked at him and sighed.

"Why do you ask?"

"Just wondering..."

"Well I'm gonna go home. See ya later Marcy!" And then he walked home by just taking a giant step. I floated home as fast as I could and walked into the cave that my house was located in. I climbed the ladder that led upstairs and laid on my bed. I held back tears until I absolutely couldn't. Tears ran slowly down my face. I love her so much...why can't she just feel the same...
