"Wellll I'm just gonna leave you too... alone." Jake said with a smirk and then left.
Marceline frowned and looked at her hands. "Are you alright?" I asked.
"Y-yeah uh I'm going to go home. I'll see ya." She responded while floating towards the open window.
"Wait!" I stood up and walked over to her, "What's wrong? You can trust me."
At first she avoided looking at me, "I'm fine..." Her voice was barley hearable (idk if that's a real word).
"Marceline, the truth."
"Okay you wanna know the truth!? The truth is I-I thought that you liked me back. But you d-didn't even want Jake to know that we kissed." She yelled, "A-are you embarrassed to be with me or something?!"
I shook my head, "It's not like that, Marcy."
"Whatever." She mumbled and flew out the window.
Tears ran down my face. I didn't mean to hurt her, I really didn't. And even though I've yet to tell her... I love Marceline Abadeer.
