Marceline P.O.V.
Beep...beep...beep...
"Glob dammit I'm up!" I mumbled as I turned off the alarm. I sighed and looked out the window that over looked the town. Maybe today will be the day I finally confess my undying love for Princess Bubblegum. A couple seconds later I burst out laughing. Because that's the thing, I couldn't tell her how much I love her. I'd just get rejected. That was a fact.
I was walking to school when Finn ran up to me. "Hi Marcy!" I looked at him and smiled. "Hey Finn."
"Are you going to the Halloween dance?" He asked.
"Nah."
"Why not? I was looking forward to your singing."
I smiled slightly, "I don't know dancing isn't really my thing." Then I walked, well floated, down the hall and to my locker. Which, awkwardly, was right next to Princess Bubblegum's. She was taking books out of her locker when I opened mine.
She looked up from a book she was reading, "Hello Marcy."
"H-Hey Bonnie," I took out a book, "What are you reading?"
"A biography about a soldier from World War 2," she pushed up her pastel pink glasses.
"Sounds boring." I responded as the bell rang. I floated to science class and PB walked next to me. At first it was just awkward silence, but thankfully she broke the quietness. "Are you going to the dance?"
My glob why does everyone ask me? "I don't think so."
"Well that's a shame."
"Why?" I jerked my head towards her.
"Oh no reason..." Bonnie mumbled.
I looked at her for a minute before looking at the floor.
"Marcy... are you okay?" She didn't try to mask her concern.
"I-I guess." I then floated to class as quickly as could to ovoid PB's questions. I sat down in the back row and Bonnie sat in the front row as usual. I wasn't really paying attention until the teacher Miss Ginger (yeah she's actually made of gingerbread) said my name then Bubblegum's name. Then PB sat next to me, "So apparently we're lab partners!" She said as she smiled and I slightly smiled. This was a nightmare! I wanted to get over her not fall in love with her even more.
"So what do we do?" I asked as I looked away.
"Well... meet me at the candy castle tonight at 7:30. Then we'll talk."
The bell rang and she walked out of the class room.
