A vacant space at the table's end,
Where a daughter's laughter should ascend,
But silence reigns, a hollow trend,
A love unfelt, a heart that's penned.
Behind closed doors, a silent cry,
A longing glance, a tear-filled eye,
A love unclaimed, a heart that's nigh,
To break in two, beneath the sky.
The wind whispers tales of a lost embrace,
A yearning heart, a vacant space,
A love unspoken, a hidden trace,
Of a daughter's pain, in this lonely place.
