The world is painted in shades of grey,
A heavy blanket, smothering the day.
Sunlight struggles to pierce through the haze,
Reflecting the darkness that fills my gaze.
The walls close in, a suffocating embrace,
Echoes of silence fill this empty space.
Laughter and joy, distant memories now,
Lost in the fog that clouds my brow.
I stare into the shattered glass,
A reflection of what I used to be,
A fractured image, a fleeting past,
Lost in the depths of my misery.
