In the shadows of my mind, a secret lies,
Whispered words that nobody else can hear,
A burden heavy, hidden from prying eyes,
Locked away, causing a silent tear.
I hold the key to a truth untold,
But bound by promises, I must keep it close,
In solitude, my heart grows cold,
As the secret within me quietly imposes.
So I walk alone, with the secret in my chest,
A whispered truth that cannot be confessed,
In the silence, I find no rest,
For the secret I keep, forever suppressed.
