Luna : Hey this is not it... You have to use another formula here
Mila: Aishh ! This subject suckss ! Arrghh !
Tessa : shh ! This is library , you idiot..
Luna : Its Ok Mila.. Take rest and continue. Don't stress
Tessa : Luna I solved this..
Luna : Aww ! Thank you Tessa.. You're really improving ! ( smiles )
Tessa : ( smiles in happiness ) Thank you.. Any doubt let me know, okay ? ( smiles proudly )
Luna : Oh sure.. ( smiles )
"As they turned around, they notice Mila lying fast asleep on the table. A gentle smile spread across her face in relaxation. Tessa and Luna couldn't resist a soft chuckle at the sight.
Tessa and Luna they continued their preparations, careful not to disturb Mila's nap."
After hours, they headed back home, walking through the streets. As they walked, Mila suddenly exclaimed
Mila : "Ah! I'm hungry!"
Luna : "Omo! Wait, I'll buy coffee for us, you both must be tired learning"
Tessa : "Us, Luna... not her." (In a teasing way )
Mila : "Aish! Stop it!"
Luna chuckled and went into a nearby shop to order three coffees for them. Tessa and Mila stood opposite to the shop, waiting.
While Luna waited for their coffee, her phone buzzed from her bag.
Luna pulled out her phone and hesitated for a moment when she saw the unknown number flashing on the screen.
Her curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to answer the call. She attended the call.
As Luna waited for the caller to respond, she simultaneously took the coffees from the barista, smiling politely in appreciation.
"Thank you," she mouthed, juggling the cups while still engaged on the phone.
Luna : Helo ( to the caller )
??? : Helo Mam is this Luna ?
Luna : Yes..
??? : We are from GC Hospital...
The caller's words hit Luna like a ton of bricks, leaving her stunned and speechless.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and before she could even process her emotions, they began to roll down her cheeks.
She stood there, frozen in shock, as the coffees slipped from her hands and crashed to the ground.
Mila and Tessa, who had been chatting nearby, immediately noticed something was wrong. They rushed to Luna's side, concern etched on their faces.
Mila ; "Hey, Luna, what's wrong?"
Mila asked, her voice soft and gentle, as she wrapped a supportive arm around Luna's shoulders.
Tessa, too, looked on with worry, her eyes scanning Luna's face for any clue as to what had caused her distress.
Luna's voice trembled as she spoke ,her words barely audible.
Luna : "Mila... my... my dad..."
Mila's concern deepened.
Mila : "Hey, what's wrong? What happened?"
Luna struggled to speak, her body shaking with sobs.
Luna : "They... they called me..."
Tessa : "Who called you, Luna? Tell us clearly. Stop crying. What happened?"
Luna's words came out in a anguish-filled cry.
Luna : "My dad passed away... They told me..."
Mila and Tessa's eyes widened in shock, their faces pale.
Mila : "Oh god!"
Tessa : "Let's go to the hospital. Now."
Mila nodded, and the three friends rushed to the hospital, their hearts heavy with grief and concern.
As they arrived at the hospital, Luna's heart got heavier. her face was still etched with pain. Mila and Tessa flanked her, offering silent support.
Just before Luna entered the hospital room, Rafael and Nick arrived on the scene.
Because , The hospital authorities had notified them first, as Rafael was the one footing the medical bills.
As Luna stepped inside, she was met with the somber faces of them, who had already been informed of the tragic news.
And she was greeted by the doctor
Doctor : "Mam, I'm so sorry. Your father passed away an hour ago. We tried to revive him, but..."
Luna's eyes welled up again, and she nodded numbly.Luna's father was gone, leaving her with a gaping hole in her life.
Luna's eyes locked onto the hospital bed, where her father lay still.
Luna : "Mila... Tessa..." ( she whispered, her voice trembling. )
Her friends rushed to her side, but Luna's gaze remained fixed on her father.
Raf was so much concerned while looking at the pain in Luna.
Luna took a step forward, her legs shaking.
Luna : "Dad...?"( she called out, her voice cracking. ) "Dad, please... don't leave me."
She reached out a trembling hand, as if to touch his face, but hesitated.
Luna : "No, no, no... This can't be happening," ( she whispered, her body starting to shake )
Mila and Tessa wrapped their arms around her, holding her close as she collapsed into sobs.
Luna : "Come back, Dad... Please come back," ( Luna wailed, her voice echoing through the hospital room)
Her friends held her tight, letting her cry out her grief.
Luna : You left me ?... Why.... ( crying ). I was wait-waiting for you.. Pl..please come back.. ( crying loudly )
Seeing this Raf's face become so sad.. He can understand the pain of her. Nick patted Raf's shoulder signalling him not to worry.
Luna : "I love you, Dad... I love you so much," ( Luna sobbed, her body wracked with pain.)
As she cried, Mila and Tessa whispered words of comfort, trying to soothe her shattered heart.
The doctors and nurses got signature from her. And did all the formalities to be done.
Hours passed. The formalities are done now. Luna is still crying.. She can't accept her father's loss..
Rafael sighed and approached Luna, he came near her. offering his handkerchief. Despite his gesture, his face remained expressionless.
Raf : "Don't cry like this. Nothing's going to change," ( he said, his voice flat )
Luna looked up at him, her tears still flowing uncontrollably. She stood up, her voice shaking with emotion.
Luna : "How can you say such words?" ( she asked, her eyes brimming with tears ) "He... he was my dad. Only I know the depth of my loss. You're telling me not to cry?"
Raf sighed again.. Nick gestured Raf to shut up..
He stepped back and went silent.
