Days passed, and Raf remained busy with his tight schedules. He went on a mission for two weeks he is not home.
Meanwhile, Luna continued to spend her time alone inside the mansion, feeling increasingly lonely. She was unable to venture out without an escort, leaving her feeling bored and isolated. She came downstairs as it is a day off today !
Luna: Good morning, Ma. (said to Agnes with a warm smile)
Agnes: Good morning, dear! Breakfast is ready! You can have it.
Luna: (sighed) Thanks, Ma.
Agnes noticed Luna's distress while eating and questioned her.
Agnes: Thinking about something?
Luna: (sighed deeply) How many more days? How many more days will I be stuck here? I have no idea why I'm here. No one gave me a proper explanation.
Agnes held her hands.
Agnes: (smiling) Don't worry too much, dear. You're in the safest place. You can trust them.
Luna: (nodded) I do. I trust them. But... I also have a life to live. They've helped me a lot. They've taken care of me in every difficult situation... but still... I feel like a burden to them. (tears fell down her cheeks as she put her head down, hiding her crying face from Agnes)
Agnes: Oh, my dear! Look at me... Look at me, na... (Agnes lifted Luna's cheek and smiled)
Agnes: You'll soon understand. Raf will do everything for a reason. He would never harm others.
Luna: (smiled sadly and nodded)
"As they were talking, they suddenly heard the sound of a car. To their surprise, it was Raf and Nick, finally back home after two weeks. During their absence, Raf and Luna hadn't seen each other for the entire two weeks. Their reunion was long overdue."
As they stepped inside, Agnes welcomed them warmly. Nick's face lit up with a bright smile.
Nick : "Ah, Luna! My little sister! How are you?" Nick exclaimed, opening his arms wide.
Luna smiled at him and they shared a heartfelt hug.
Nick : "I missed you so much!" Nick added, squeezing her tight.
Luna smiled, hugging him back.
Luna : "I'm good, missed you too" she replied.
Luna : "What about you?"
Nick held her at arm's length, taking in her radiant smile.
Nick : "I'm better now that I'm home with you," he said, his eyes shining with affection.
Raf looked at them in disbelief expression.
Luna noticed Raf and asked him
Luna :"how are you?" ( with a warm smile )
Raf nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Raf :"Fine."
Luna's smile deepened.
Agnes intervened,
Agnes : "You both go take a shower. I'll prepare food for you."
Nick's eyes lit up.
Nick : "Aww! My tongue is waiting to taste your yummy food!"
Nick said and hurrily went upstairs
Raf sighed absolutely done with Nick and followed Nick upstairs.
Raf's room
Raf sighed and began unpacking his luggage, with Nick lending a helping hand.
As they unpacked, Nick pulled out a box from Raf's bag and took it out.
Nick : "Didn't you miss her?"
Raf, still unpacking, looked straight ahead and replied,
Raf : "Who?"
Nick ( chuckled ) : "Luna? Don't you?"
Raf ( sighed ) : "Can you please shut your mouth?"
Nick : "So, you didn't miss her?"
Raf (shook his head) : "No."
Nick's eyes sparkled mischievously.
Nick : "Aha! That's why you were always staring at this chain when we were on Busan, wasn't it?"
He pulled out the chain from the box which Luna had bought for Raf.
Raf's eyes widened.
Raf : "Give me that back!"
Nick : I won't !
Raf : Nick, Don't play with this. Give me
Nick refused, teasing Raf by darting around the room with the chain. After minutes of playful struggle, Raf finally caught Nick and retrieved the chain, gently placing it back in the box.
Exhausted, Raf sighed and headed to the shower.
Nick watched, smiling, as his friend disappeared into the bathroom. He lay back on the bed, sighing in relief.
Nick was so happy that he saw the emotions which he lost 10 years ago in Raf's Face today.. His friend was healing, Nick relieved !
After freshening up, Raf and Nick came downstairs.
Nick ( exclaimed ) : "Ahhh! I've missed your food so much, Agnes!"
Agnes smiled widely and replied,
Agnes :"Now you can have it."
Raf and Nick sat down at the dining table, and Agnes began serving them food.
Just then, Luna appeared. Raf's eyes met hers, and Luna's gaze locked onto his. For a moment, time stood still. The warmth of the kitchen, the aroma of Agnes' cooking, and the sound of Nick's enthusiastic chatter faded into the background.
Luna smiled at Raf, and he asked,
Raf : "How have you been?"
Luna ( smiled and nodded ) : "Good."
Nick invited her to join them, saying,
Nick : "Luna, come on and eat with us."
Luna : "No, no... I ate just a few minutes ago."
Nick : "It's okay, na, come and join us for today."
Luna ( laughed ) : "Aigo, Nick, my stomach is full now. I'll join you for dinner, surely."
Nick (smiled) :"Okay."
As they sat down to eat, Luna helped serve the food.
Meanwhile, Raf's mind was preoccupied with deep thoughts. It had been a long time since Raf and Luna had met, and they were both experiencing an unknown feeling in their hearts – a feeling they couldn't quite put into words.
After a while, Nick noticed Raf and Luna's intense moment and decided to give them some personal space.
Nick : "Raf,"
Raf : "Hm?"
Nick :"I'm so tired; I think I'll head home today. I'll come back tomorrow."
Raf : "Why? You said you were staying here today."
Nick ( scratched his head ) : "Ahh, yes... I said that. I'll come tomorrow, bye-bye."
Nick turned to Luna
Nick : "Luna, I'm leaving. Take care, my little sister."
Luna ( smiled and replied ) : "You too, take care, Nick."
Nick :"Okay," and hastily left the scene.
Raf watched him leave in disbelief.
