As soon as the twins' feet touched the grass it was like everything else melted away, they ran with the dogs while Killian and I sat in the shade. " Petrov sent over the money this morning, Gio is handling the repercussions of the situation" Killian said as he took a sip of his drink. I nodded and turned my attention back towards the twins who were laughing, chasing the dogs around the yard.

Gabby walked over to me and Killian with a small pout on her face, it made me want to murder somebody. " Daddy can you come play with us" she asks softly as she places her head on my thigh. As much as I just wanted to relax I couldn't tell her no.
" Of course principessa" I said as I stood up lifting Gabby into my arms. Killian leaned back with a smirk on his face as he took another sip of his drink, " You guys have fun with the daddy bonding time " Killian said when he turned his head. " Why you not play with us" Gabby asked causing killian to turn his head and look at the frown on Gabby's little face. " I didn't say I didn't want to play with you lil demon don't try to get your dad to kill me now" Killian says as he sits up in the chair. " Then come play with us" Gabby replied, causing Killian to sigh as he got up from his chair sitting his cup on the table. " Fine little demon you're lucky you're cute" he huff as he walks past us in Nico's direction where he was playing fetch with the dogs.

" Little devil how you feeling today?" Killian asked as he flopped down next to Nico who continued to throw the ball for the dogs to retrieve. " Better than yesterday " Nico responded without looking at Killian with a slight smile on his face  that made Killian laugh. " You wanna race" Killian as causing Nico to finally look at him. " yeah" Nico answered as he jumped up with Killian right behind him. " I wanna race too" Gabby said from behind the boys with her arm crossed around her chest. " okay little demon you can race either way us just don't cry if you lose" Killian said causing Gabby to roll her eyes.

Killian Gabby and Nico line up in front of me. " First one to the door and back is the winner, are you guys ready ?" I said while they all nodded in response.
" READY, SET, GO!" I shouted and they all took off, Nico was in the lead at first and then Killian and then Killian tripped and fell. I can't wait to tell Paris this, Gabby laughed as she passed him. Nico was almost at the door and Gabby was not far behind him when Killian got back up and started running. Nico touched the door and started to run back to me while Killian and Gabby touched the door at the same time then started running back. " Stop giving your kids steroids it's not good for them "Killian said as he stood next to me, I then let Gabby beat him even though Nico won.

" Stop being a sore loser" Nico said as he sat in the grass, Gabby sat beside him catching her breath. "Papa can we have some juice" Gabby asked softly. " Si Principessa come on" I replied as I picked Gabby up and placed her on my hip, I held my hand out for Nico he Grabbed it and we walked towards the kitchen.

I went into the fridge to get the apple juice while Killian and the twins sat at the island playing rock paper scissors. Killian really is a child, I poured the juice into the cups and then put the on the counter. As soon as I gave them to the kids my phone rang, I took it out my pocket to see that it was one of my men. I told Killian to watch the kids for a minute before walking to my office.
" This better fucking be important Mateo" I said lowly, I could hear him trembling over the phone which just pissed me of more. " Germany has asked us to take over the responsibility of this years ball due to the passing of their Don's mother... should I tell them no Sir?" He mumbled nervously. " Tell them we'll do it and sorry for his loss, I'll give further directions for preparations later" I replied hanging up before Mateo could respond.

When I got back outside killian was doing cartwheels with the twins, he might act like they annoy him to death but he loves it when they're around. I sat down letting them continue their game, I started to think about the fact that I'd actually have 3 kids around this time next year. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Gabby's scream. I jumped up and reached for my gun, I quickly calmed down when I saw Killian throwing her up in the air as she started to laugh. I took a deep breath and walked over to Nico who was once again playing with Hades. " You really like Hades don't you?" I asked as I sat beside him on the picnic blanket Gabby wanted to sit on so she wouldn't get her dress dirty, she really was her mother's daughter. Nico only nodded in response while he rubbed Hades.

I was about to stand up when Nico said " he's like me, people think he's mean but he's not he just gets upset and Mama said that's okay" as he wrapped his arms around Hades and Hades licked him. I smiled and sat back down, " Nico, you know I had the same problem when I was your age and my papa, your Nonno told me that sometimes we get so upset because our hearts are strong and full of fire when your mama said it's okay be upset sometimes she was right but you also have to know how to control your emotions Piccolo Guerriero ( little warrior)".

For a second I thought I was hallucinating but no Nico was hugging me and Hades looked like he wanted to bite my head off. I hugged Nico back and kissed his head full of curls and just when things were going great. " sorry to interrupt your daddy-son moment but we're hungry and the princess wants fries" Killian said making me and Nico to turn our heads. "Kids cover your ears for a second" I said as I stood up fixing my shirt, the twins looked at me and then at each other before covering their ears. " One day I'm going to put a bullet in between your fucking eyes" I said glaring at Killian, he just scoffed. " yeah please you've been saying that since we were 13, you love me too much to actually do it" Killian said.

"Hope you know we can still hear you" Nico said as he moved his hands from his ears, Gabby moved her hands and nodded in agreement with her brother.

Killian and I took the twins out to dinner in the city since everyone wanted different things. The kids looked outside the window the whole way to the restaurant, Italy was much different from New York. Dinner was nice and peaceful well as peaceful as it would get with Killian and two three-year-olds, I told Killian about the ball situation. After dinner, we went to get ice cream. I was having so much fun with the twins but I couldn't stop thinking about Paris and if she was okay, she hadn't called all day which was weird. I could tell that Nico and Gabby were tired on the way back to the estate, Killian fell asleep in the car.

After putting the twins in the tub and into bed I went to check on Paris again, i checked on her when we came into the house but she was just sleeping and it didn't look like she moved all day. I walked into our room and she was still asleep, I decided to wake her up after I got out of the shower, so she could eat something at least. After Paris got up she left the room to get something to eat, I knew she went to go see the kids. I wasn't going to stop her just hope she go eat afterward.

When Paris came back and started crying about how she missed the life she built in New York it made my heart clench because that shit was never supposed to exist, but I understood that she missed her friends and family and I knew the twins were having the same problem which caused me to make this reckless decision just to see my family happy.

"Petrov, I need you to do something for me".
