chapter twenty four

When I woke up, the sun was beaming, and my beautiful wife was fast asleep on my arm, I slowly moved my arm from underneath Paris's head. Today was going to be a lot, Petrov and his family are supposed to be here in a week, along with Mille.

After getting in the shower and brushing my teeth, I walked into the closet to get dressed; I had a meeting with Germany this morning. I walked over to Paris, brushing her hair out of her face to kiss her forehead. It still amazes me to this day that god blessed me with this woman for the rest of my life. Killian was sitting at the kitchen island when I came downstairs, a cup of orange juice in his hand, his attention on his phone, and a smile on his face.

" Who are you texting that has you smiling? " I asked, making my presence known. " why are you jealous?" Killian replies as he lifts his head from his phone, frowning his left eyebrow. " Are you ready to go? " I asked before walking towards the door, Killian nodded his head and began to follow me over to the door. As we walked out of the door, the guards were standing around the gate silently. I informed the head guard to tell Paris I was leaving and not to let anyone other than my family in or out of the estate while I was gone.

The car ride to the meeting was just full of Killian moving his lips with nothing but bullshit coming out of his mouth. When we arrived at the office building, six guards were standing at the entrance, They all bowed their heads as I walked into my building with Killian beside me. Killian and I entered the room where the meeting was supposed to take place. I sat down at the head of the table, and Killian sat beside me, putting his feet crossed on the table, my table. " I've met your mother and your father, so I really do question where your idiocy comes from Killian," I said as I sat back in my chair. " get your feet off my fucking table before I cut them off," I said while I looked down at my phone. " what's got you in such a mood, you get to fuck a hot chick every night so why be so tense," Killian says as he moves his feet off the table.

" I love your mother, but I will send her your fucking head in a box, Killian. Watch your fucking mouth when you speak about my wife," I growled out as I pointed my gun at his head. Killian looked at me and started to laugh. " Bro, is this because you got another menace on the way? He questions as he continues to laugh. " Because that's understandable, but you really need to chill, you know I'm just playing, but look at you you're pointing a gun at your best friend over a joke," Killian says as he places his hand on my shoulder. For once, Killian was actually making sense; ever since my mother called me my mind has been racing on how I was going to tell her about the twins and Paris and her being pregnant with our third child. I took a deep breath and dropped the gun on the table as I covered my face with my hands, " I hate when you make sense," I mumbled, making Killian laugh.

After the meeting with Germany, I spent a few hours in the office doing paperwork for the legal part of the business. I was working when my phone started to ring, as I expected it was Paris. I smiled and answered the phone. " Why didn't you wake me up this morning?" she asked before I could even say a word, she started to go off, " Who leaves their pregnant wife without a note or anything, just gone?" she screamed in my ear, I could hear the angry in her voice. " I'm sorry amore, I had a meeting, and I didn't want to disturb you. Also, weren't you the one who disappeared for years with my children?" I replied as I leaned back into my chair.

" You know what, Gabe, fuck you" she said quietly before she hung up without giving me a chance to say anything. Maybe it wasn't my best idea to joke about that while she's in such an emotional state. I continued to finish up everything I needed to do when I got a text from Paris.
