Birthday boy (James Hetfield one shot)

 Today is James' birthday and you surprise him

Today is James' birthday. I get up without making too much noise. Even though time has passed, he has always remained the James I knew.

 I'm going to prepare him his favorite breakfast: pancakes. When I finish preparing him I hear his footsteps approaching "Good morning birthday boy! " I say kissing him "You woke up to make me pancakes, you don't know how much I love you Y/n" James knows and we start eating.

 "I know that gifts are given after eating the cake, but I want to give it to you right away" I say "did you also give me a gift? Y/n you shouldn't have. You are already my gift" he says and I smile. When he says these things he always manages to give me butterflies in my stomach.

 "Here, open it" I say "Why did you give me a pendrive?" He asks laughing "give me that" I say and I put the pendrive on the TV.

 Immediately some of our videos are shown. From our stupid things when we were young, to our marriage and the birth of our 3 children up to these days. While we are watching These videos, I see that James was crying. I was actually crying too and we hold hands. 

After the video ends he gives me a long kiss "Thank you Y/n it's a beautiful gift.Thank you for being by my side all this time" James says "I will stay with you until my last breath" I say kissing him.

After all these years, our love was still the same as before. I hope we can be together for a long time to come.
