You decide to surprise kirk with a gift... Two tickets for the carnival!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I waited for Kirk to arrive home. I wanted to do something together since it had been a while that we did nothing. So, in these weeks, I thought about something to do together and I got an idea..."Why don't we go to a carnival? I think he will like it." I thought to myself and I bought two tickets. I put them in a box on the table, waiting for Kirk to open it. I heard the door open and then he appeared with a smile on his face. "Hey, love?" He said and kissed my forehead. "Hi" he then looked at the box on the table and turned to me. "What is it?" "A gift, for you" "A gift? But it's not my birthday or something!" "Why should I wait for my birthday to give gifts to my boyfriend?" I said, kissing his cheek. "Come on, open it" "Okay..." He said and opened the box revealing the two tickets for the carnival. "I can't believe it! You bought the tickets for the carnival!" He said happily. "I knew you would've loved it," I said. "Y/n, you're the best!" He said and filled my face with kisses. "Thank you, Kirk. I bought them for tomorrow. I hope you're free." "Yeah, I am. But even if I hadn't, we would have gone anyway." "Good thing then!" I said, waiting for tomorrow to arrive.
The next morning, we got up early, excited for today. "So, are we ready for today?" "Of course!" He said and I laughed. We got in the car and drove to the carnival. When we arrived, we looked around us. The colorful rides, the bright lights, and the laughter echoing around us. It felt like a scene out of a movie, and I couldn't wait to dive in. "I think the first stop we have to do it's eating cotton candy!" I exclaimed, grabbing his hand and leading him through the entrance. We approached the vendor, and I ordered two cotton candy, my eyes lighting up as I watched the vendor twist the fluffy strands together. Handing it over, I took a big bite and then cheekily stole a piece from him. Just as I was about to retaliate with another bite, a sudden gust of wind blew the cotton candy right into his face, sticking to his curly hair and making it look like he was wearing a sugary hat.I burst into laughter.
"Looks like you're ready for a sweet day!" I teased, my giggles ringing out in the festive atmosphere. "Very funny," he replied, rolling his eyes but unable to suppress a smile. He attempted to wipe the mess from his face, only making it worse. "I think I'm going to need a shower after this. "Don't worry, it's a good look on you!" I shot back, grabbing a napkin and trying to help clean him up. After the cotton candy chaos, I saw Kirk watching the ring toss booth, a colorful display of bottles waiting for someone to conquer the challenge. "Why don't we try to win a prize?" I raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing in my lips.
"You really think we can win anything? That game looks rigged." I said, crossing my arms with an amused grin. "Have a little faith," he shot back. He approached the booth, throwing a playful wink at the game attendant, who smiled back knowingly. He grabbed a ring and threw it with all his might. But instead of landing perfectly on the bottle, it veered wildly off course, splashing water all over me."Oh no! You got soaked!" He gasped, biting his lip to suppress laughter as I stood there, dripping. I raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. "Thanks for that," I said, pretending to sulk while he doubled over with laughter. "What's next, a water balloon fight?" I suggested, my heart racing with joy at his playful expression."Maybe yes," he teased, his eyes sparkling.
After the game, we decided to tackle the most thrilling ride in the carnival: the roller coaster. I could barely contain my excitement as we approached the towering tracks that twisted and turned high above us."Are you ready for this?" I asked, my voice bubbling with enthusiasm. He grinned, though I could see a hint of nervousness in his eyes. "As ready as I'll ever be!" We hopped into the car, fastening our seatbelts tightly. The ride attendant gave us a thumbs-up, and before I knew it, we were climbing the steep hill, the anticipation building with each click of the tracks.
