"You're the Privileged."
Ayanokoji's words from that night still rang in his head; Y/N wasn't sure how he figured it out but he wasn't surprised either. Based off of what he's seen, Ayanokoji was undoubtedly the most powerful in their year, maybe even the whole school. His sheer intellect was undeniably lightyears ahead of everyone else's, and was only proving to be greater than Y/N initially expected.
He didn't know what else Ayanokoji was capable of, but Y/N was sure that he still had a handful of tricks up his sleeve. And even if Y/N knew everything about him, would he even be able to threaten him? The only thing Y/N knew that he was holding over Ayanokoji was his infinite amount of points. Assuming his only goal was to expel Ayanokoji, he could've just used that to his advantage and be over and done with it immediately.
"Ayanokoji... as long as we're on the same side, I shouldn't have to worry about you," Y/N thought as he laid on his bed, looking at his point count.
306,257 points
He had gained an additional 100,000 points from Ryuen, due to the bet they made, which resulted in Y/N's victory. Though, Y/N didn't blame Ryuen at all for making the bet, since he thought his victory was practically guaranteed. He definitely wasn't accounting for the fact that Class D's class leader would be changed and he would be named as Class C's leader; that was what costed him greatly.
Sighing at the thought that he'd have to deal with a confrontation with Ryuen soon, Y/N instead moved over to his contacts list, and went to Ichinose's name, entering their messages. He hummed to himself, as he thought of what to say. Y/N wanted to talk to her more and get to know her better, but it was a bit difficult to do so without making it feel like an interview. That, and he wasn't the best talker, so it would get awkward at times.
"I could maybe ask... about..." he began, but struggled to think of anything that he could ask her to initiate a conversation between the two. Now that Y/N thought about it, it was significantly harder to initiate a conversation than for someone else to do it for you, like Kikyo loved to do. Though, he left her last message on read because he couldn't muster the energy to reply to her.
He turned his head to his door, upon hearing a knock. Slowly, he rose to his feet and stepped towards the door, while silently hoping that when he opened it, he would be met with Ichi— Hirata, he was met with Hirata, who smiled at him when he opened the door and locked eyes with him.
"Hey. Would you like to join me for lunch?" he asked gently; Y/N had a feeling that the reason why he was asking this was because Y/N was just staying in his room for most of the days. "I'm meeting up with Karuizawa and a few others..."
"...No thanks," Y/N responded, disliking the sound of it. "I'm not friends with Karuizawa, or any of her friend group." In all honesty, he disliked all of them. They were just annoying to be around.
After glancing to the side for a moment, he suggested, "What about just you and me, then?"
"No, I think that Karuizawa would be annoyed with me if I got in the way of your plans with her," Y/N replied promptly, though he honestly wouldn't have minded spending his lunchtime with Hirata. He was a nice guy and a bit fun to be around, albeit he'd be approached a lot due to his soaring popularity.
"Are you sure? She won't mind," Hirata assured him, but he shook his head. "Well..."
"Say, Hirata," Y/N spoke up abruptly.
"Yes?" Hirata replied instantly, trying to use this as a way to grow closer. He wasn't exactly fond of the idea that Y/N would be in his room all day, so he was taking any chance he'd get.
