Jessie POV
It was two days and two nights before we finally congregated at the border of our two tribes' territories, both sides looking at the other curiously and likely wondering what this was all about. Though I was betting some of them already knew, maybe like Kyra. She was best known for gossiping a lot, being a bit ditzy, but knowing every single piece of juicy news about everyone if there was anything to know at all. So I wasn't surprised when she immediately turned to me and glanced at me as everyone else filed in to the small little area.

It was a few more minutes before the talk of sorts finally started, and Ken wore his usual grin as he welcomed, "Good morning, everybody. For those of you don't know me, I'm Ken, the leader of the Dokovian tribe. And this is my assistant leader, James."

I probably clapped the second loudest when my dad came onto the small stage and bowed lightly—the loudest being my mom, of course.

Then everyone fell silent as another tall figure stepped up onto the stage and James stepped off. "Morning, I am Chris. As I'm sure my Alatians know, this is my assistant leader, Jenna."

He pointed to a rather serious-looking woman off the stage, letting the claps ring out before he continued, "Up till now, we've always thought of our two tribes as different, as enemies, as separate, never unified. But I believe that will soon change, as..."

Chris continued talking, but I wasn't focused on him anymore as I spotted two familiar chameleon-hoodied and bear-hoodied people nearby.

"Leon! Nita!" I called softly.

They immediately wheeled around and gasped happily as they saw me. "Jessie! Nice that we're near you!" Leon cheered giving me a hug.

I blushed, not sure exactly why, but it didn't matter.

"How do you think the talk is going?" I asked, pointing to where Chris was busy explaining everything that had happened recently, and how is the perfect 'bridge' to repairing the co-relationship between the tribes.

"Quite well, most of them seem to be agreeing with what he says, especially those from our tribe. They're the ones we're supposed to be convincing. Because your tribe is already friendly and open to the idea," Leon nodded.

"Not all of them," Nita noted, pointing to where the assistant leader of the Alatians, and a few other women behind her, were frowning. But they still clapped—maybe rather unenthusiastically—as Chris finished speaking.

"They'll learn to accept it one day," I hoped. If they didn't there would be serious problems. But they probably would anyway.

Just then, Ken stepped up to speak. He told everyone, "I don't really have much to add on right now, because Chris here has covered roughly everything that we need to say. Except one thing, and that's that we hope that we have obtained your support for this movement."

Everybody seemed satisfied with that until one woman from the Alatian tribe asked, "Pardon me, what movement again?"

"Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that," Ken laughed lightly. "As of today, our two tribes are currently working on a peace treaty."
