On Jessie's side
"Yes," the traitor scoffed. "It's me, you idiots. I'm surprised none of you guessed yet."
"But why?" Ken demanded. "Why, Cora?"
"I want to get rid of this forest, that's why," Cora snapped as I captured the rest of her soldiers, slamming them against the wall. "It's unfair that the city gets all the advanced resources. So I joined forces with them, so that I could get my hands on things like metal, or phones. And return they had a powerful person on their team. And a secret agent to tell them about the jungle people's next moves and how they should counter them."
"Yeah, some power," I scoffed. "All of your soldiers have been trapped. And you're the only one left, while there's like forty or fifty of us."
"Really? All of them?" Cora said with a wide grin. She stamped her foot on the ground, making the earth crack open and rumble to reveal...
Lions. Tigers. Panthers. Snakes.
She hissed and roared in numerous languages that I easily understood, but the others seemed confused about.
Which meant she was probably a Polyglot.
But she didn't know I was one too.
The others backed away from the growling furies, but I stood my ground and with my powers, ordered them to attack Cora instead.
Cora's eyes widened in shock before they narrowed with pure hate.
She let out one last growl that sent the animals back into the ground and away as this time she was the one to back off, clutching her trident nervously.
"Give up, Cora!" I ordered. "You're out of people, you're out of time, you're out of power and you're out of plans already."
Her grin widened again as she asked, "You so sure about that?"
She suddenly disappeared from view, and I raised my weapon, keeping guard.
But then a yelp followed, and Cora reappeared with a knife to Leon's throat.
"Give up, or he dies," she gave me an ultimatum.
