[ CHAPTER 44 ] OLD LADY

YEJI IN HYUNJIN'S BODY POV

"Who wants a drink? I'll buy"
I asked as i stretched and got up from the floor. We've been practicing for our comeback and the choreography is so much tiring than ours ofcourse, well i'm in a boy's body and sweating way too much, I'm like a humidifier.
All of them raised their hands and didn't say anything as they were obviously tired.

"I'm coming with you, it's too heavy"
Seungmin was about to walk to me.
"Aniyeo-it's okay, I can handle it"
I smiled and saw Lia watched us look at him then me.I quickly went out before he could catch me.

I got out from the elevator and went straight to the cafeteria, but the energy drink was only 6.

"Oh no, I have to go outside" sighed.
"Kamsahahamnida" i bowed to the staffs.

Before going out I wore my hat and hoodie.After buying the drinks I got out of the store and suddenly saw an old lady, wait- she's familiar? I squinted my eyes to see clearly but she's walking far already so I tried to follow her without disturbing her. I have nothing on mind but to found out who she was. Following her on a busy road and many people, my mind can't just process immediately.

"Who is she?"
Still following her.
Until she finally crosses the pedestrian lane alone, I ran to catch up but I heard a loud honk on my left and my feet suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

"Yeji!-"

I opened my eyes and realized someone grabbed me fastly before the truck could go near to me. My eyes lift up and saw my own body hugging me tightly. My body was on the top.

"Hyunjin? How-"
I stopped as I saw a wound in his knee and shoulder.

"Ya! Are you okay?"
I asked and softly touched his shoulder.

"I'm okay-"
he screech out of the pain as he wanted to get up. We immediately covered our faces to avoid the people on recognizing us.
"I'm so sorry sir"
I apologized to the driver as he got out of his truck.

"Are you kids okay? What were you doing? You should watch where you going!"
The driver scolded us, I bowed as he walked away.

"Hyunjin i'm so sorry"
I helped him walked and put his arms on my shoulder to support.

I ran back to where Hyunjin was sitting in the park after buying some bandages and cream from the nearest pharmacy.

"Are you okay?" Asking out of breath as I kneel starting to put some cream.

"It's the 20th time you asked Yeji"
He laughed.
"I'm okay, it's just a scratch?"

I lifted my head angrily.
"Scratch? Just a scratch? Look at that! Look what you did to my body!"
He laughed.

"Well... I was only saving my own body too"

I stopped when I realized. He was right. I looked at him as finished putting the bandage.

"I'm so sorry Hyunjin"
I sighed loudly after sitting beside him.

"It's okay, Yeji as long as you're fine"
He smiled brightly at me while I lowered my eyes to where the wounds were. He's so calm.

"Right, how did you- were you following me?"
That question finally came up to me, how did he even found me?

"Oh? I was on my way to that store where you went, then I saw you went out. I saw you looking at something or someone I don't know, then I decided to follow you"
My eyebrows met as I remembered the reason why I was walking alone in the busy street.

"The old lady"

"Old lady?"

"Yes, she seems familiar but I can't remember her"

"So that's why you followed her?"

"Yes"
With desperation.

"You know you can't just roam around the city alone like that Yeji, it's too dangerous"

My phone suddenly buzzed and saw Chan's name.
"Oh right, I forgot the reason why I went out"
I looked at the clueless Hyunjin.
