March 12 (1639/2206)

It was the first time in Lourian History where the greatest of Noble Houses were called to be rallied for war. Most notable were,

Duchess Vale, The Herald of the Capital and its Elite Magic Swordsmen Defenders.

Duke Arventi, the Beast Masters of Louria who facilitated Donated Beast into the Lourian Army.

Marques Cora, The Traders responsible for the recent economic boom of Louria that allowed them to be heavily militarized.

Marques Dathwood, The Noble house who modernized the Magic Education of Louria with it's head being an Arch Mage

Marques Keiss, Guardians of Beales and the road to the capital with the bloodline of a hero

Earl Wale, The Pioneer of Modern Military science

And some notable people like Chief of the Lourian Military Patagene, and Chief Mage High Arch Mage Yamirei were gathered on a long table.

Among others. Vale kept an eye on these 7, they were notably loyal to the King as they supported his campaign of Demi-Human Extermination. As a long time neutral force Vale couldn't help but frown as she remembered the plan.

"Everyone's seated." The King, her Cousin Hark Louria XXXIV addresses all 22 Nobles and distinguished people on the room. "Our Invasion towards the wretched demi-humans were naught but failure."

There were murmurs as he announced the result. Naturally everyone was dismayed, some were even horrified and began frantically asking for further updates but got turned down by the King's glare.

Vale sat down and observed the ongoing commotion. She didn't smile as she began to know who will be easy to convince.

The Distraught Nobles were more likely to have had their sons sent into battle. The fact that they were most likely wiped out would horrify them even more.

"W- what about the Naval Invasion to-"

"They have succeeded fret not. However, They would have to struggle more as our troops on Gim were routed out of the border." The King deliberately avoided mentioning of the fate of the soldiers.

Was she told a lie? Vale began doubting. She was told by Hanes that the Naval Invasion was utterly wiped out with only a few survivors rescued by the Japanese.

With a sigh. Vale determined she needed to push irrationality on the table by trusting Hanes.

"Sir Adem said that he will begin accommodating a defense line against invaders to Beales. Have you by chance seen him sir Keiss?" Vale asked in wonder.

"I'm afraid not, Your Grace."

"He told me he was going to see you to rally a defense. Are you perhaps lying sir Keiss?"

"Your Grace, I have never seen anyone come to my residence since sir Pandour marched from the Capital to Gim."

Well that atleast confirmed one desertion off the list. If Japan invaded now it would mean Beales would be immediately captured as it is currently an empty house and without any roadblocks up ahead Japan would easily get to the capital in a matter of days.

I have no choice but to Trust Hanes then. Vale resolved.

"Duke Arventi. I heard your unit was wiped out, how did you come out alive?"

"Hahahaha! As expected of Arventi fleeing once the battle began. We should switch places. Me a Duke and you a Viscount!"

"Everyone, mind your manners. Out of everyone in this room you sent naught but a tiny portion of your knights to fight but His Grace Duke Arventi sent the majority of his force into fighting the enemy you ought to be ashamed of yourselves." Vale reprimanded the lower nobles.
