I came to jaipur in the morning and now I have gathered everyone in the living room to disclose the good news to them. 

"Chaitu what is it beta, tell us" asked mummy

"Wait mummy let everyone come first" I said 

After waiting for another minute everyone came and sat on the sofas and I started narrating the conversation happened between me and my manager and everyone was looking at me with curiosity as to what he said next.

"So what did he say" asked papa

"Everyone Dil thaam ke baith jaiye kyuki aapki chaitu ab team leader bnne wali hai " I said excited with a never ending smile on my face
(Everyone hold your hearts because your chaitu is now going to become a team leader)

"What" came mummy's reaction 

"Oh my god beta, I'm so proud of you" said papa

"I'm so happy for you bacha" said dadosa and at the same time Kratu launched herself on me saying "Congratulations Jeeja"

"Thank you everyone But there is another piece of news that I want to share, please be patient and listen to me first before giving any reactions I know it's a huge thing so I want your opinions on this " I said and everyone sat on their places again.

"So the thing is my manager has put forth a condition that for the promotion I'll have to shift to our main branch in New York for an year and after that I can come back and continue here at the higher position" I told everyone

After listening to me everyone went silent as if they have forgotten how happy they were just a minute ago. Papa's face had tension lines while mummy was in deep thoughts and dadosa and dadisa were looking at each other as if conversing with their eyes.

"Guys say something, you are making by heart race at an unusual pace" I said

"Chaitu New York is far beta how will you manage alone" said papa 

"Papa I can manage and the company is also providing me a house and car, so everything is sorted" I said 

" NO beta we can't let you go there alone, it's not safe and above everything your marriage date is fixed" said mummy

"But mummy is marriage more important than my dreams" I asked 

"It's not about importance beta your marriage is after 10 months and you are saying you want to shift to new york for a year" said mummy

"Mummy I can talk with hukum if you want I know he'll understand me" I said

"You'll not do anything of that sort Chaitu, marriage is no joke you are not going anywhere that's the final decision" said mummy

I looked at papa with hope but he also didn't say anything to mummy and dadosa and dadisa were not even uttering a word. Everyone was silently supporting what mummy said and watching my family against my dreams for the first time made tears gather in my eyes.

"I didn't expect this from you guys, you always supported me in my career and today just because I'm going to get married you guys are turning your back against me" I said to no one in particular

" We are not turning against you Chaitu but you need to understand you can't leave like this, everyone is preparing for your marriage and you are thinking of shifting to new york for an year beta" said mummy

"You are also like those parents and families who doesn't care about their daughter once she gets married, you won't care if I die after getting married" I said having tears in my eyes
