Chaitanya's POV

I sat on the bed, adorned in my phera poshak, sans heavy jewelry. My heart raced with anticipation.

"Will I be able to express myself?" I wondered.

The door clicked, and Hukum entered. His gentle demeanor calmed me.

"May I?" he asked, seeking permission.

I nodded, and he sat on the bed's edge.

He extended his hands, and I placed mine in his. His soothing thumb strokes on the back of my hand calmed my nerves.

"Missing everyone?" he asked.

I nodded.

Hukum shifted closer.

"Can I lift your veil?"

I nodded again.

He gently lifted my ghunghat, and our eyes met.

He cupped my face, his eyes radiating love, respect, and sincerity.

"Look at me," he whispered.

His gaze held mine, and I felt secure.

He leaned in, pecking my forehead.

My eyes closed, and calmness washed over me.

"You're safe with me," his actions whispered.

Hukum's gentle gestures dispelled my doubts.

In that moment, language wasn't necessary.

Our hearts communicated.

I leaned in, wrapping my arms around him in a gentle hug.

He reciprocated, holding me close.

I rested my head on his chest, feeling his warmth.

He cradled his head on mine, our bodies swaying in harmony.

His hands stroked my back, calming my nerves.

"Do you not trust me?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I trust you the most hukum' I replied immediately.

I lifted my gaze, meeting his reassuring eyes.

I cupped his right cheek, my thumb tracing his jawline.

I leaned in, pecking his forehead softly.

In that moment, words were unnecessary.

Our hearts communicated.

His arms tightened around me.

"I'll always be here for you," his embrace whispered.

"I know" I whispered

"Aren't you tired?" Hukum asked, concern etched in his voice.

"Umm, hmm, I am," I replied, leaning further into him.

Hukum's warmth enveloped me.

"Hukum, let's get changed," he suggested.

"I'm tired," I murmured, sighing.

Should I help?" he asked, teasing amusement dancing in his eyes.

I looked up, squinting playfully.

"Help?" I repeated, my tone hinting at skepticism.

Hukum chuckled.

"Let me," he said, gently guiding me up.

Hukum swept me into his arms, prompting a delighted shriek. His gentle grasp calmed my frazzled nerves, and I felt safe.
