Right now I'm sitting with my senior manager and we are discussing about our future projects and the project I'm leading currently.

"So Miss Rathore one last thing I want to discuss today is that the senior management has decided to promote you to the position of a team leader but for that you've to shift to new york in our main branch for one year" said my manager

"That's a great opportunity sir but shifting to another country for one year will be a huge thing for me and finding a place to live........it's a tough decision of staying there and starting with zero again as I've to set up my space and then look out for options for commuting daily and on top of everything it's about my safety......" I trailed off

"We understand that and for the same the company arranges a two BHK flat for the foreigner employees and a vehicle is provided for commuting and talking about safety you'll have your flat within the area of 5 Kms from office so that even if you get late you can reach home safely" he said

"Okay sir I'll think about it" I said

"It's a great opportunity to grow in your career miss Rathore.....think carefully and be a little wise" he advised me

"Sure sir" I said

"You can take leave for two days and think about it carefully....let me know what's your decision after that and then we'll see how are we going to move forward" he said

"Thank you sir.... I'll let you know as soon as I make my decision" I said and stood up to leave his cabin

I came out of my manager's cabin and went straight to the cafeteria to have a coffee as the sudden proposal of shifting to new york has given me slight headache.

I went towards the counter and ordered an Americano for myself and sat on a chair.

I took out my phone and called hukum he picked the call in the first ring.

"Hukum....guess what" I said excited

"What happened hukum you seem happy" he asked 

"I'm happy.....not just happy I'm very happy" I said

"Woah hukum what happened actually......tell me" he asked

"Hukum today my manager asked me to meet me in his cabin and you know what I became so nervous thinking what is so important that he has asked me to meet me in his cabin......I went in and we discussed about some business and then he threw the bomb of the most amazing news on me" I said

"Okay and what's that bomb" he asked

"Ppssttt.....hukum you interupted" me I said

"Apologies your highness" he said and I giggled

"Okay so he told me that the senior management has decided to promote me to the post of team leader" I said

"Congratulations hukum......that's a great news" he said

"Yess it is.......I'm so happy" I said squealing with joy and decided to skip the New York part for the time being as I wanted to discuss it with my parents first.

We talked on random topics for another five minutes and then disconnected the call as he had an important meeting.

I went back to my cubicle and started working and decided to not tell this to anyone as you know nazar is damn real and when finally I'm one step closer to my dream I won't let people cast evil eyes on it.

It was 7 PM and time to go home I packed my things and started looking for cabs online as I didn't commute by my car today...even after looking for ten minutes not a single driver accepted my request.....damn
