Start of a Disaster

After sitting outside, out of boredom, Tails decided to clean the Tornado, dirty after many days of use, while Sonic was sitting inside, talking to him.

"So, uh, Tails, any plans today, or are you too tired?", "I just wanna rest after the cleanup. I don't wanna be worried about anything. Also, Eggman has been absent for a long time, so I am getting skeptical. You know he comes back sooner or later.", Tails responded with a somewhat serious tone, which quickly led to Sonic going towards him, trying to cheer him, which succeeded.

However, as soon as Sonic turned around, Tails was pulled into a sound-proof bag and was taken away to a tunnel hidden from view.

Tails, in a panicked tone, yelled for help and tried to pull himself out, but it was silent, and he failed at getting out. After what felt like forever, he was taken out of the bag by a robot, but the robot didn't look like the average badnik, so he was confused. Quickly, he met, not Eggman, but instead, a cat mobian walking towards him with his arms and feet. Unfortunately, he was never given his name.

The cat mobian just looked him in curiosity and walked to someone else. The cat's behavior seriously concerned and scared Tails. He has never seen a mobian behave like an animal. He behaved in a way that was just like a realistic animal.

Then, as expected, Eggman showed up.

"You like my little cat? His name is Heri. At least, it was before he became my best friend", he said, before doing his usual maniacal laughter.

"How DARE you do that to him! He did nothing to you!", Tails exploded in anger and disgust, only for Eggman to slowly leave.

Tails was furious with him, but he soon became so afraid, his ears went down. He saw a laser coming from the top of the room facing directly at him.

"Why don't you join him and be a peaceful two-tailed companion? I've been starting a test, and it worked. You're next.", said Eggman in an oddly chill and content tone. "Well, say your final goodbye."

The laser powered on and was charged, and Tails was panicking, trying to free himself. Unfortunately, it was too late.

The laser shot at Tails, and he desperately kept thinking of random stuff to keep his brain occupied, but he started to fade away.

Luckily, Sonic was aware that Tails was missing, and by pure luck, he found Tails. Since Eggman left the room earlier, Sonic sneaked in and destroyed the robot holding Tails and the laser, freeing him.

However, when he was freed, Tails was really dizzy and confused, similar to a tranquilizer dart.

"Don't... worry... Sonn... onn... Sonic... I'll... be... f...f...fi-", said Tails before falling unconscious, panicking Sonic, who picked him up and ran to the workshop to put him on his bed, while he was sitting next to it in fear. He patiently waited, hoping Tails was OK.

Luckily, after about 10 minutes, Tails woke up, but he mentioned that he had a headache, which Sonic completely understood. However, something stirred up inside Tails. He just kept thinking about the cat acting like a real cat.

Luckily, he wasn't like that, but he barely survived. What if Eggman finds a way to do that to him and his friends? It would be catastrophic for everyone. That would be a free pass for Eggman to conquer everything.

In the middle of his thoughts, he smelled something bad. He looked around, but it was coming upstairs in his other room. He was near the fridge, and it smelled foul. Plugging his nose, he opened it and he saw... nothing.

This confused him a lot. He smelled the juice, it was fine, as well as a few other items, but then he smelled some cheese. He gagged and squinted his eyes in the sudden new intensity of the smell, and he grabbed them and threw them away.

"Man, that were really *gag* rotten!... But something's not right. I keep smelling stuff here *gag*", he said in curiosity and disgust.

After about 30 minutes, he removed all awful smells, as well as cleaning the fridge thoroughly, but he ended up removing almost everything, except some berries, apples, and juices. It was practically empty.

He closed it and started walking back and forth, trying to think of a reason why he was acting so weird, but then he found the reason why. The laser.

Something about the laser changed his perspective on the diet, but he was optimistic. "It's OK. A change in food preference is not bad. It's not bad... I hope...", Tails said, worried, but not scared.

He decided to look up information on the computer. After a bit of searching, he found something interesting. He was in a realistic fox diet, but as he scrolled down, he saw something terrifying.

Part of their diets were small mammals, which meant some Flickies were not safe around him, meaning he would have to stop saving them, just in case, but the next one scared him.

The list included hedgehogs and rabbits. This meant Sonic, Amy, and Cream were targets in this worst-case scenario. While he continued reading, a tear started to go down in fear.

He had a plan, though. He would use a walkie-talkie so he could talk to Sonic, but not see him or being in close proximity to him. Unfortunately for now, he had no idea how to fix this. This might be irreversible for all we know.

For now, he waited for Sonic, but he locked the door and left the walkie-talkie on the front door. However, he did not expect what he would see. It was Cream, not Sonic...
