Lab Infiltration

Over at the lab, Blaze was starting to relax, but then she saw an empty syringe that the scientist was going to use to test her pain to see if she felt pain as normally as unaffected people, and she panicked.

"No, no, no. Please don't torture me! I'm sorry I almost went to you guys! Please!", she yelled while closing her eyes. "No. We need further testing to develop a solution to this.", Sam came back and wore an actual mask (hiding their faces and sometimes other features confused the savage side of them) to prevent possible attacks, which worked, since Blaze didn't react.

Right as they were going to test it on her, they heard a glass shatter. A victim (the same one as the one that scared Tails) escaped, and was able to attack the others. The scientists were panicking, and he saw it go to her. Even though she wasn't a target, it could have affected him differently. As Blaze closed her eyes with force, she told to herself, "That's it. This is it. My last moments are slowly getting destroyed by someone else. Why worry?".

However, luckily, they held him with a muzzle and pulled him away right before tasing him and putting him in another cell. Blaze was quickly breathing in panic before she started to relax.

"Don't think you are leaving, Blaze. You may be a princess, but we ain't stopping for royalty.", Sam said, somewhat worried another error or mistake might happen. He saw the scientists, two of them being hurt, while the others helped.

"I know you won't move me, but I think an unaffected predator is a good idea for defense.", Blaze continued, wondering if that was a failsafe method. "And for it to attack us and ruin our progress? No, thank you.", Sam said, with a serious face.

"Wait... what kind of progress?", Blaze said, curiously, but was immediately told it was classified. A short moment later, she formed fire to try to free her by melting the cuffs, but they were aware, and she got lightly tased, which seriously hurt her. "You try it one more time, and you will be tased, muzzled, and put in a solitary confinement. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?", Sam said, furiously while counting each thing with his fingers, which Blaze opened her eyes wide and immediately nodded.

It turned out, while this was happening, Tails somehow got in unnoticed. Tails incredibly slowly crawled his way there, but one of the scientists was going his direction, so he quickly grabbed a random notebook on the floor and pretended to be a scientist. "Please don't go savage, please don't go savage...", Tails whispered to himself, and it somewhat worked. While he was visually OK, he was internally racing, seeing all the prey Mobians walking around. Behind his mouth, he gritted his teeth and curled his hands into a fist.

Since he had the hazmat suit, he hoped he could blend in. "Hello, sir. I am looking for the Mobian named Blaze to do a few experiments on her. Where is she?", he said, his forehead lightly sweating in fear, and in instinct. Thankfully, it worked as the scientist told him the location.

As he went through, another scientist noticed the odd walking pace and slowly followed Tails in a concerned expression, but Tails was unaware of this. By this point, Tails was sweating more, and his mind started to wander off, but he was still hiding it, even though he was worried it would backfire and make him attack the others. Fortunately, after about a minute, the other scientist stopped being paranoid.

Luckily, he got to Blaze, and when Sam and the others left, he freed her. She was going to thank him, but Tails shushed her to stay quiet. He used his speed to very quickly free her. Thankfully, they were able to leave, though the scientists were panicking about her leaving.

When they left, Tails told Blaze he found a letter at her house and asked her what it was. "Oh, that? Silver went to my home and gave me that, due to his worry of it getting worse, and look where we are.", said Blaze. In curiosity, they opened the letter to read it, and it said this...

"*gasp* THIS IS PERFECT! Blaze, let's go. He has the solution. We will win!", Tails told her, almost yelling in happiness. Blaze agreed, though she was startled by his sudden happiness, so they went back to Mystic Ruins to get his Tornado to get there.

Once they got there, he went inside to make sure Vanilla was fine. She wasn't anywhere to be found. "Oh no, oh no, OH NO!", Tails panicked. Blaze was confused, and he explained to her. They were going to leave to find her, but he heard a voice telling him to meet her at the roof. Confused, he went up and told Blaze to hide.

Tails went up with a cardboard he saw to not see her. "Hello?", he said, in confusion. "Hi, Tails...", said Vanilla with a slight smile. "Vanilla, why are you on the roof? Do you know how dangerous it is to be outside?", said Tails in worry, only for something unexpected to happen.

"Come. Sit with me.", said Vanilla, fully aware of the dangers. Tails hesitated, but sat down next to her, still not seeing her. She was sitting, her eyes closed, her ears moving with the wind. "Even in horrible moments, I still try to find the good side, like my daughter. Sitting outside in the garden and feeling the wind always relaxed me. Don't you think?", she said, calmly, and Tails lost all worry temporarily. After a minute of relaxing, he got worried again.

"Look... Vanilla, I need to go. This is such a peaceful location, but I gotta go somewhere else.", Tails said, disappointed by the necessary, but sudden cut, but he had to go. They said goodbye to each other, and he went to the main floor.

"Blaze, follow me.", he said as they went to the garage. She saw the Tornado and was intrigued, since she has never seen it (I am not sure if she did, but I'm not doing a deep dive for hours just for one sentence). "Huh? This is yours?", she asked in curiosity.

"Not really. This is actually Sonic's plane, the Tornado, but he never uses it, so he gave it to me. Pretty cool, huh?", said Tails with a slight smirk. She nodded soon after, and they hopped in.
