A few days later, Sonic finally managed to convince the police that he was helping Amy and Cream, but as Sonic managed to tell them, both Tails (at the workshop) and Sonic heard sirens all over the place saying the same message.

INTERNATIONAL EMERGENCY!

LISTEN TO OUR MESSAGE FOR YOUR SURVIVAL.

Thousands of cases suddenly showed up in Seaport City and Mystic Ruins, but also West Island, Station Square, Prison Island, Westopolis, and Central City. It is unknown how it spread so rapidly.

If you are from this continent, or in islands nearby, never leave your home. Government officials and policemen will now give you sanitized rations for your survival, and all predator species will now be tranquilized until this is over.

All other continents have closed travel entirely and will stop anything from entering and leaving, including any Flickies.

Any flying Mobians, like hawks, eagles, bats, and others, will be tranquilized on the spot without mercy if spotted in the air, and will be sent to maximum security jails and shelters.

Seaport City is now enforcing a rule that you cannot speak due to the dangers of any noise.

If you decide to create a riot in Mystic Ruins or even rebel and intentionally spread the virus, you will be sent to jail for life without parole.

This will be all for now.

Luckily, when the public testing happened, Blaze somehow managed to make it through and hide her savage side, so she was fine. However, due to this new restriction, she has been forced to be in isolation in an unknown region.

"Mr. S-Sonic, I'm s-scared...", said Cream, very worried and sad. "Don't worry, Cream. I will never let you get hurt. Just stay here, relax, and have fun. Just don't leave, OK?", said Sonic, smiling at her to make her feel better.

Sonic knew the news and emergency alert systems are all over TV, replacing all programming, so he never turned it on near Cream to prevent her from being traumatized. Meanwhile, Amy just wanted to sleep the day off due to stress.

Over at the workshop...

Tails was able to send Amy and Cream, but Vanilla was stuck with him. She was put in his bedroom, and she was allowed to exit the capsule. Now, she could finally walk around, and she will be called by Tails to get her food in a tray.

Out of guilt, he made or bought nice food for her, since he felt like he kidnapped her. "*sigh* Where is Sonic, anyways? It's been days. Surely, he can come here and go bac- what is that?", he said before being interrupted by noise. He looked through a camera he forgot he put.

He saw a purple fox being caught outside and was able to hear everything.

"READY, MEN? DART HER!"
"NO, please! I'm just trying to get to my brother! He's not res...pon...ding...", as she was tranquilized and fell to the floor, and was taken to an unknown destination.
"Report, Officer F-87. We have identified and tranquilized a young, female fox. Bring the unstable predator Mobian to the lab.", the policeman said.

Another thing that he noticed that changed was the policemen, who were mostly predator species (them being more firm and less shy), were all fired, and replaced with prey species, as part of the new law.

"Oh, Sonic... please help us...", said Tails, "I may be able to help, but I can't do this alone... wherever you are, please find a solution so I can finalize it.". After a few seconds, in a breaking voice, he quietly pleaded for Sonic's help. "I can't handle this a-anymo-ore. I can't control another p-possible Metal Virus, ag-gain...", he said, suddenly panicking, remembering the disaster that was the Metal Virus, so he was speaking very rapidly and crazily, "But if I don't do it, everyone will be mindless, and Eggman will win, but if he can't control this, he'll lose too, but that would mean many prey Mobians will likely suffer a terrible fate, but I- OK... OK... relax, Tails. Relax...", he said, slowly going back to normal.

Meanwhile, Blaze woke up in the cage at the lab, dozed off, and looked around, very confused.

"Hello, Ms. Blaze.", said the raccoon scientist. "Unfortunately, the Mayor has been fired and replaced with the Former Mayor, a rabbit. We are frantically trying to fix this.". Blaze fully woke up and barely understood, asking what he was talking about. "You may remember a fox named Miles Prower. Does that ring a bell?", he asked her, who was slightly confused, as Tails never told her his real name. After some descriptions, she said she does.

"OK. We are noticing you also have slight hints of the virus, since you feel a little off, and... uh... why are you looking at me like that?", he suddenly got confused and remembered he was a target. She was sitting on the floor, shaking, trying to control herself, so he hid behind a desk, causing her to relax and exhale in relief. "Very well then. *sigh* Two times in a row... OK, so, since you are not fully affected, we will need you to relax and follow our steps, OK? We will not hurt you. All we will need are some cell samples to see the comparisons. Thankfully, we got brain scans, but we need more than that to help us.". Blaze felt a bit relieved, and agreed. However, it will be harsh.

A couple of other scientists in hazmat suits handcuffed her, and they also strapped her to a chair. "So, we will need a follicle of your fur to see if it affects victims with fur contact.", he said, while a used a tweezer to pull a follicle out, making her wince in pain for a split second.

"Now, just give us a few minutes to find a result...". Blaze, usually serious and determined, broke character and was nervous and afraid at what they could do, as she saw another victim get tased and tranquilized by disobeying and trying to attack. While her body was being affected, she forced herself to calm down. She could not end up with the same fate and possibly be in isolation for months or even years.

After the checking, it lead to a negative, meaning it doesn't spread by fur. After noticing that, the same scientist came back. "Now, Ms. Blaze, I will give you some water, and I need you to leave your tongue inside it for 10 seconds to see if saliva spreads it."

Testing was continuing for a while, and luckily, there was no harsh experiment, at least for now...
