"Well, there goes Silver... So... Tails, where is Eggman's base? Maybe heading to the source might help.", asked Blaze, as they reached Tails's workshop. "It's not too far from here. However, it is very risky, so I need to build something to protect us so we don't repeat this, especially with this.", said Tails, "However, we need to bring our friends to help. You never know how dangerous it could be.".

"You make a good- What was that noise?", said Blaze, curious about the noise. Tails realized at the time, he was fixing a gadget to fix his plane. While he left, past Tails turned around and saw Blaze. "Oh, hey, Blaze! What brings you here? Looks like Amy was busy today, huh...", said past Tails, thinking of a possibility, and what she said was perfectly understandable.

"Actually, umm, I-", said Blaze before being cut off by past Amy. "Hey, Tails! What ya doing?", past Amy said in her usual curious attitude. "Wait... Blaze, why are you here?", past Tails now got confused, knowing Amy was able to come anyways. "Sonic told me to come here to notify you about, uh, a blueprint Knuckles made to try to help you in future quests?", said Blaze with a nervous smile. "I've never seen you this happy, Blaze. Did you get invited to something?", past Tails was in confusion as usually Blaze was serious.

"I got invited by Silver to, uh, a celebration that takes place in the future [you idiot! Why did you mention the future?], but I can't bring anyone else. Sorry, Tails...", Blaze said, and luckily, Tails did not find it suspicious. However, all of this was only getting worse.

As Tails snuck inside and went to the attic, hoping he could find something to help him, he completely forgot his past self was heading there too. When he heard himself walk up there, Tails panicked, trying to find his way out. Past Tails was digging through stuff and used his flashlight and accidentally was shining at his future self's tail before focusing on something else. This startled past Tails and made him use it again and see that area, but he hid before he noticed. "Eh. Likely a flicky got in. No big deal.", he said before looking away. Normal Tails sighed in relief and slowly went around and left before he was caught.

As he left, it turned out that Blaze left too. "So, did you find anything?", Blaze asked, but Tails responded by saying no. She immediately saw him freeze as he saw Sonic on a nearby tree sitting down. "No, Tails. Now's not the right time. Remember the rule, no interactions... Tails?", Blaze noticed he didn't react to anything. He just turned and focused on Sonic. "Oh.... r-right... I'll try to f-f-focus...", Tails said. However, his mind kept reminding him of Sonic and how he's a hedgehog.

"Don't get... distracted... at... h-him...", Tails repeated to himself to calm himself down, which was working for now. "OK... thanks for the reminder.", he said, looking at her. However, the next thing tbat happened was terrible. Sonic noticed him and ran to Tails. "Hey, buddy! What ya doing so far? Building little gadgets as usual?", he asked with his iconic smirk.

"Oh... umm... not really.", Tails said, in a stiff way, trying to calm himself. Luckily, Sonic didn't notice, but he would surely notice soon. "Come on, follow me. I wanna show you something.", Sonic said while reaching his hand, which Tails immediately backed away, confusing him. "Are you OK, Tails? You can tell me, I won't tell anyone.", Sonic said, cheering him up, but his words only fueled Tails's animal instincts. His tails were starting to stiffen, making Tails grit his teeth and then he had to do something about it before it was too late.

"I GOTTA GO, BYE!", he said very quickly as he ran far away, but Sonic found it very weird, so he ran to him, making it harder. Tails gave up in hiding it when he was next to Sonic. "Alright, Tails. First, why do you have a hammock holding your tail, and second, why are you hiding?", Sonic said in slight frustration.

"Umm... I-I-I... need you to r-run... *grunts*... please...", Tails said, warning him to be safe. Sonic didn't do so in confusion. "You can just tell me, you know...", Sonic said, a little annoyed. "I'll just leave it be. At least tell me how you got hurt.".

Tails curled up, closing his eyes, and admitted. "I-I-I'm inf-fected... I'll e-exp-plain after... th...i...s... RUN AWAY!", Tails said, panicked, as he changed and went on all fours. "Don't... t-touch me... it... c-can...s-spread... to your w-wonderful...NO! NOT THAT!... WONDERFUL SMELL! COME HERE!", Tails said before giving in. Sonic panicked, keeping his distance as Tails ran to him on all fours. Blaze soon saw them. "OH NO!", she yelled as she ran to them, however, it was too late. Tails reached him due to an obstacle in Sonic's way, but he was immediately stopped before it was truly too late.

After a few minutes of being stopped, he went back to normal. "Phew... thanks, Silver.", he looked at him still disguised as Knuckles, as Sonic was breathing quickly in fear, but soon calmed down. "Alright, you 3 better tell me. What the heck is happening right now?!", Sonic said, furious that he was almost eaten. "Alright, Sonic, I'll tell you.", said Blaze, "We are from the future. Eggman made a virus that turned us into animals... well, dumber versions of ourselves, and it affected nearly 9 in 10 Mobians, so the world was nothing but chaos and every safe person went to the Sol Dimension for safety, and we are here to stop it from happening, but all of us have it. Don't EVER touch us!", Blaze explained, and then warned, so Sonic kept his distance.

"Then how is Knuckles using Telekinesis?", Sonic asked as they never explained it. "He is a fake. That is Silver. We used a gadget to prevent him from being attacked by Tails. Hedgehogs are prey to foxes.", Blaze said, while Tails meditated to himself to keep himself calm.

"Alright, I believe you guys. Let's just fix this to avoid any confusion. Why don't we ask the other Tails to help us?", Sonic asked, which they all responded with a quick "no". "If Tails meets Tails, it will lead to a paradox where Tails meets himself, but he met him before time travel. It'll mess with everything.", Blaze explained, which Sonic understood. "All we need is Amy, you, and the three of us.", Blaze continued, only for Sonic to nod in agreement.

"What about Knuckles?... well, the real Knuckles?", asked Tails, curious as to why he was ignored. "If he comes, he comes. I'm just worried he'll tell everyone.", Silver said, which Tails understood.

"So... who's gonna tell Amy, cause it sure as heck is not gonna be me. Also, please give me some distance so I don't attack again...", Tails saved, and Silver hid him behind a rock to prevent the others from being seen.
