Seaport City's downfall

Note: From now on, to make it feel more realistic and less 'Sonic comic', I added a few minor original characters to make some of this connect and make sense.

Once he left, he went back to the workshop. "I really need some experiments before it gets out of control.", said Tails, being somewhat scared.

Going back to his lab, he made test tubes of food, testing his instincts and how fast he goes to them and seeing how he can control himself. However, before he started, he noticed an alarm to talk to Amy, so he quickly went to the computer. Then, they entered a voice call.

"Hey, Tails! Anything new happening with that?", said Amy, being a lot more aware and serious. "Not much, but I had to replace all fridge items with fruit-related stuff. I also slowly get out of control when I smell or look at fruit, like it's against my will.", said Tails, simply stating the truth.

"You haven't told anyone, right?", "No, but do you think you might need to apologize to Cream for leaving her?", said Amy, feeling bad for her being abandoned in the garden. "I'm considering that, but I need an explanation. Being sick, or fixing stuff is not a good excuse. I can't just tell her."

"She will tell Vanilla, who will tell Sonic, who might tell Knuckles, who might be gullible enough to spill it with Eggman, and then, who knows what might happen. NEVER TELL HER.", he exclaimed, scared of such a scenario.

"OK. I'll just tell her you feel bad and you are too embarrassed to tell her.", said Amy, slowly sounding more energetic. "Pinky promise!". "Thanks, Amy."

Once they finished the call, he heard "Fox" on the TV he left on, which confused him. He went to check it, and he saw a fox Mobian wanting to attack the guards holding it hostage, but failing. This is what was on it.

"A red fox named Bolt went on a rampage after seeing a rabbit Mobian and tried to attack her by clawing her, but luckily only made a rip in her shirt. Fortunately, no civilians were affected.

The SCPD (Seaport City Police Department) held him with chains and put him in their ambulance, as a makeshift trap, to be sent for testing. We are currently investigating what started it. This will be all for TerraNews, back to the weather..."

This shocked Tails. If he gets caught, who knows what happens. He turned the TV off, but he got a call from Amy again.

"Hey, Amy.", "HELP ME! A WOLF WANTS TO ENTER THE HOUSE TO EAT ME! HELP!", she exclaimed, holding a hammer, but not her Piko Piko hammer, but an actual hammer to knock him out.

She was visibly shaking in fear, but then she heard the back door opening. She screamed in panic and stared at the door, only for it to be Tails.

"Don't worry, I got you!". Tails went directly to the wolf, who managed to enter, and Tails tackled him and held him by the feet, pulled it up, making the wolf lose his footing, and then Tails flew to a river and tossed him from high up, knocking him out temporarily. He was floating face up, so he was fine.

He flew back to the house. On his way there, he remembered Sonic destroyed the laser, unless, IS IT CONTAGIOUS?!, Tails thought to himself. When he made it, he quickly went to Amy.

"I am so sorry, Amy. It is contagious, and it might have affected you.", said Tails in panic, only to hear this...

"You know, Tails. I feel fine, but my head hurts a little bit."

"GO TO THE WORKSHOP! NOW!", Tails yelled at her, still not looking at her.

Once they made it back, he picked her up and put it in a tube, trapping her and keeping her away from him. "Tails, what are you doing?", Amy said, slightly angry.

"I need to study you constantly to see how much I affected you. I will be giving you 3 standard meals every day, seeing how you react. Tell me every time you eat it how you feel. You will stay here and isolate yourself for your own safety.", said Tails, being highly serious.

Amy freaked out at the scenario she was in. Soon after, he looked in the news online, and he saw this.

"Hello, Nelly Bee here. I am currently at the balcony of a building in Seaport City, and we have encountered 2 more Mobians with the same issue. The affected ones have been identified as Bold the Eagle, and Mellisa Thorns. Here is a message from Mayor Frentward."

"Hello, citizens of Seaport City, we are keeping this mostly under control, and we will continue looking into it. We have started a strict law. No one will be allowed to leave the city. If you traveled here, you will temporarily not be allowed to leave. This law will be used to prevent any of this from spreading worldwide and causing mass panic. We have identified the cause. It is an artificial virus that infects the brain. Its codename is Prey-27A, and we are looking if there are more variants. Back to Nelly Bee."

"We have been able to stop the two of them and put them in cages. For the experiments, they remain top secret."

Tails realized that he was the one that could infect Mystic Ruins, which is connected to Station Square, a very tourist-heavy city. That would be a disaster.

"Amy, to prevent a worldwide change to this, you will stay there until all this is fixed. I have the capability to end the world.", said Tails, looking at Amy and giving her a book through a small slot, which he quickly filled the tube with a sanitizing chemical, removing potentially worsening symptoms.

Then, he realized that Cream touched him, so she was likely infected, Vanilla is likely a second victim. He (while blindfolded [he got way better detection of his surroundings now, due to his new instincts]) ran to their house and grabbed them, making sure, he didn't actually touch them, to put them in the remaining tubes.

"Mr. Tails, what are you doing?", said Cream, concerned. "Did you interact with anyone?", said Tails, wanting an answer. "No, Mr. Tails. I only saw my mom.", said Cream worried about the sudden change in expression. "Tails, why are you doing this?", Vanilla added, only for him to explain the situation he was in.

They got scared of what could happen to them and the others, and (sadly) agreed.
