Tails turned on his small TV in the attic. It was the news channel, and what he saw was horrifying.

Hello, Nelly Bee here. We have some awful news here. Some civilians are rebelling due to the strict rules, and the police are being overwhelmed, and two were actually able to leave, which could be catastrophic. One of them fell in a water tank connecting to pipes to the city, so every water pipe has been turned off by the government due to not knowing whether it can spread by water, but we were able to cage her.

They are heading over to Mystic Ruins. Seaport City is sending helicopters to cage them before it is too late. This is a message from the Mayor.

"Hello, citizens. Our restrictions failed, so we will need to do total restriction while we identify who has it and who doesn't. The police are now allowed to use batons if necessary. Everyone outside your residence, you have 15 minutes to return, or else you will get a heavy punishment."

"Oh...no... I hope it gets stopped by the Mystic Ruins police or something. It seems so far, the Starfall Islands are the safest places to be in. No cases, far from mainland, no Flickies, etc. She might be taking it too far. Thank goodness her Flicky is fine.", said Tails, covering his mouth in fear.

"N-N-No, Tails-s... She is...s... no...ot...", said Amy, who climbed up to meet him, but very dizzy. "I...  I know you t-tried to get me...  Don't w-worry..."

This reminded Tails of the situation, and he was about to cry again, until he noticed something. "Amy, you were aware of the situation during the transformation?", Tails asked, being shocked. "Y-y-y... uh huh. I... c-c-can't talk for... much... lon...ger, b-b-but I may b-b-be the k-key to stopping this.", said Amy, grunting in pain, trying to control herself as much as possible, but it went out of hand soon.

"GET AWAY FROM ME, FOX! HELP!", yelled Amy, going back to her prey version and running to the lab. This broke Tails's heart. "She doesn't deserve to be scared of me... I need to stop this. I am a criminal, so I can't ask the Mayor to help me. I have to do it myself, but... how?", Tails thought, being confused. The last time he did something like this was when the Metal Virus showed up, but this is entirely different, but if he doesn't have the solution soon, the world will go back to the Stone Age forever.

At the lab, Cream became sane for a short while and looked at Vanilla in the capsule, with a sad expression. "I'm... s-sorry, Mom. I-I'm trying...to...cont-trol m-m-myself...", said Cream, looking at Vanilla.

Vanilla was just sitting inside of it. "I know. Don't worry. We'll figure it out at some point. Are you hurt?", said Vanilla, nervously. "Yeah, m-my leg was b-bitten...by...Tails...", said Cream, gritting her teeth and controlling herself, "... but...I'm...f-feeling be...tter...", she lost all emotion, now straining even more, gripping the floor and shaking. "I-I'll...see...y-you...soon...", said Cream before going back to her animalistic behavior.

"Oh, please, Tails, we need you, fast.", Vanilla thought to herself. Meanwhile, Tails saw the news again, but was quickly interrupted by an instruction alert. This is what it said.

Currently, the virus codenamed Prey-27A has not gotten a new variant, but we will give you instructions on how to avoid it.

What to do inside:
- Lock your doors to prevent interactions.
- Close your windows and cover them with curtains to prevent seeing predators or prey.
- Do not attempt to smell anything that has any type of Mobian nearby.

What to do outside:
- Run and hide.
- Never interact.
- Isolate.

Your life matters, but civilization needs to stay. Don't consult anyone.

Tails freaked out. Even the leader of Mystic Ruins is starting to give up. "We can't have a second Metal Virus. I need to stop this, fast!", said Tails, before hearing a knock.

"Hey, buddy? Are you there?", asked Sonic. Tails knew Sonic was infected, so he just talked through the door.

"Yes, I am. How are you so far? Also, you're supposed to be at home.", asked Tails, nervously.

"I'm feeling A-OK, Tails. I just get more nervous around predator species. Say, I haven't seen Amy and Cream anywhere. Where are they?", asked Sonic, worried for them.

"Oh... about that... I have them... I... kidnapped them, and have them in capsules.", said Tails, feeling very guilty.

"You did WHAAAAAT?!", yelled Sonic, furiously. "You are being an unethical criminal. Are they ea-", asked Sonic, before Tails cut him off.

"NO NO NO! I didn't hurt them. I am actually protecting them from others. They are infected, but much more than us. Sometimes, they lose all their sanity and become full-on animals.", said Tails, still worried of all this.

"In fact, it's gotten so bad, that I need to wear a blindfold to even interact with them, so I can't even see them without risking their lives.", said Tails, being sad, but he got great news.

"Why don't you give me them? I'm already infected, and I'm gonna be a friend, not an unstable person, sorry for the comment, Tails.", said Sonic.

"ABSOLUTELY! I'll bring them to you. However, Vanilla is in a capsule, so you'll need to do a second trip. She is unaffected, so keep her in there at all costs.", said Tails, making sure Sonic doesn't do any stupid mistakes.

"OK. Just be careful. Give me a second.", Tails said before telling everyone. "Hey, guys! Great news! Sonic will take care of you. That way, you guys are not in danger!".

However, while handing them over, a helicopter showed up, seeing Sonic. "This is the Seaport City police! Keep your hands where we can see them! You will be redirected to your home by force!", said the police, worrying Sonic.

He grabbed them, but left Vanilla there. The police misunderstood and saw it as a life threat to the two of them. "Everyone, head to Sonic The Hedgehog! I repeat, head to him right now! He is kidnapping two Mobians for an unknown reason!".

Sonic ran as fast as he could, and luckily, he went to his house and hid himself from view with them. "Men, we have lost detection of the Mobian, Sonic. Spread out right now, and dart him as soon as you can, and cage the other two!", said the police before the helicopter left.

"Ughhhh.. Sonic! You're...O-OK...", exclaimed Amy. "*sigh* even in this situation, she is still fangirling me.", he thought to himself, before hearing sirens repeating this message.

The Mobian identified as Sonic The Hedgehog has escaped his residence and is currently hiding. Do not interact with him, and run away. The fastest thing alive is now dangerous.

The city near us, next to Station Square, Seaport City, has brought many policemen to do a manhunt and cage Sonic to isolate him. If you know where he could be, call [not writing a possibly real number].

We are currently teaming with them to unite and eradicate this virus for good before it gets out of control.

We have stopped all water pipes to prevent more spread. Do not use heaters, as we are unsure if it could evolve and spread via breathing.
