Just as I finished the last signature, my phone buzzed with a new message.

I hurried through the remaining paperwork, eager to finish everything before meeting Yoko. Once everything was in order, kinuha ko ang bag ko at umalis na.
When I arrived at the mall, Yoko was already waiting outside the restaurant. She looked stunning, her smile lighting up as soon as she saw me. "Hi, Faye!" she greeted, pulling me into a hug.
"Hi, Yoko," I replied, feeling a rush of warmth. "This place looks nice," saad ko. Dito pala s'ya sa bagong bukas na restaurant nagpa-reserve.
"It is. I thought it would be a great spot for us to catch up," she said as we walked inside.
We were seated at a cozy corner table, and as we ordered, we started chatting about our days. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na kasama s'ya ulit. It felt like a date, and I couldn’t help but feel incredibly happy.
"So, how's the business going?" Yoko asked, genuinely interested.
"It's going well, actually. We've been really busy, but it's a good kind of busy," I replied, taking a sip of my drink. "How about you? Kamusta ka na?"
"I'm okay now, medyo nabusy ako sa new hobby ko, which is painting," she said with a warm smile. "It was really hard at first, but finishing a piece makes it all worth it."
