THIRD PERSON'S POV

It had been a day since Faye’s lowkey date with Yoko. The joy from their time together still lingered as she worked on paperwork in her office habang nakaupo sa sahig at nakasandal sa couch. Nagkalat sa coffee table n'ya ang mga documents, and her focus was clear, but every so often her mind drifted back to the warmth of Yoko’s presence.

It was Wanwan, her secretary and partner in crime, standing with a concerned expression. "Faye, may bwisita ka," she announced while whispering.

Faye looked up, puzzled. "Ha? Sino?" Kunot-noo n'yang tanong.

"Engfa," Wanwan said, a hint of concern in her voice. Faye’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t seen Engfa in three years, not since their messy breakup.

Engfa walked in with a practiced smile, her eyes glinting as she greeted Faye. "Hello, Faye," saad nito habang nakangiti.

Faye seated on the couch, stunned into silence. Engfa turned to Wanwan. "Could you give us a moment alone?" she asked.

Wanwan looked at Faye for confirmation. Tumango lang s'ya bilang sagot, though her mind was reeling. Wanwan exited the office, closing the door behind her.

Engfa approached Faye, her smile unwavering. "I’ve brought you something," saad nito at inabot ang isang can ng bubble milk tea. "I remember this is your favorite."

Faye stared at the can, her feelings mixed. The sight of Engfa after so long stirred up unresolved emotions. She didn’t reach for the drink, instead keeping her gaze fixed on her ex.

Engfa’s smile faltered slightly, but she maintained her composure. "Nagbabakasyon lang ako ngayon and thought I’d drop by. I missed you."

Faye’s heart hardened at Engfa’s words. The memories of their bitter split were fresh, and she had no desire to reopen old wounds. "What do you want, Engfa?"

"I still love you, Faye," she said softly.

Faye looked at Engfa with a stony expression. She pulled her hand away, feeling a mix of anger and sadness. "I don’t want to talk about this," she said firmly.

"But you should at least drink the milk tea," Engfa persisted, her eyes pleading. "It’s your favorite."

She opened it and took a sip, trying to keep her emotions in check.

"Faye, I want you back," Engfa said, her voice laced with desperation.

"You can’t just walk back into my life and expect everything to be okay. Not after what you did."

Nagbago ang ekspresyon ni Engfa. "You’re really going to hold that against me forever? Lahat ng tao nakakagawa ng pagkakamali."

Faye’s eyes narrowed. "Pagkakamali? Engfa, you didn’t just make a mistake. You betrayed me, and it wasn’t just once."

Engfa’s face flushed, she stood up. "Alam ko, I messed up, but I’ve changed. I’ve been working on myself. Hindi mo ba makita 'yon!?"
