FAYE
I woke up with a tormenting pain in my head. My surroundings were unfamiliar—a cozy living room with soft, warm light casting gentle shadows on the walls. I was wrapped in a blanket, clutching a pillow. As my senses slowly returned, the memories of last night came crashing back. "What the…" I muttered, trying to piece together the events.
"Oh, gising ka na," a familiar voice said gently. I turned my head to see Yoko standing there, holding a steaming bowl of soup. Seeing her brought a smile to my face despite the pounding in my head. I couldn’t believe it—she was here. At kasama ko s'ya.
Yoko set the bowl down on the coffee table and sat next to me on the sofa. "Are you okay?" she asked softly, her concern evident in her eyes. I nodded vigorously. "I'm more than okay. Nandito ka eh," I replied, my smile growing wider. She returned the smile, a touch of relief in her eyes.
"Kainin mo 'to, I cooked it for you," she said, offering me the soup. I looked from the bowl to her and back again. "Yes, boss!" I joked, and she laughed, playfully hitting me on the arm.
After finishing the soup, I took the bowl to the kitchen to wash it. I saw Yoko rummaging through the refrigerator, her back turned to me. She looked effortlessly beautiful—and so incredibly sexy. I couldn’t help but smile. When she noticed my presence, she turned and approached me.
"Akin na 'yan," she said, reaching for the bowl. Iniwas ko naman ito sa kanya. "Ako na, dami ko nang abala sa'yo," I insisted at wala na s'yang nagawa. I went to the sink to clean it.
After I finished, I headed back to the living room. Yoko was sitting on the couch, staring at the turned-off TV. I sat down beside her, and she turned her gaze toward me.
"Hindi mo alam kung gaano ako kasaya ngayon, Yo," I began, feeling my heart swell with emotions. Yoko's eyes softened, and she looked away slightly. "Pwede bang… pakinggan mo na ang explanation ko?" I asked, hoping she’d understand.
She closed her eyes, sighed deeply, and then looked at me, giving a small nod. I took a deep breath and began explaining everything—what happened with Engfa, how she drugged my drink, and the horrible things that followed. As I spoke, I saw tears welling up in Yoko’s eyes.
Without thinking, I pulled her into a tight hug. She buried her face in my shoulder, her sobs muffled against my skin. "I'm sorry, Faye," she whispered between cries. My heart ached for her. "It’s okay, Yo. I understand," I reassured her, stroking her back gently. I kissed her forehead, trying to offer comfort.
"Your secretary, Wanwan, actually called you. Sorry, sinagot ko," she said, at napakunot naman ang noo ko. "What did she say?" I asked. Yoko looked at me, she held my hands and gave me a smile. "She’s happy that I let you in last night and took care of you. She said to give you a chance, to hear your side. And I finally did. I’m sorry, Faye. Naunahan ako ng galit at takot, kung pinakinggan lang sana kita—"
I cut her off with a kiss. It was tender at first, but then it deepened as she responded. I pulled back to look into her eyes, cupping her cheeks. "I told you, Yo. It’s okay. I completely understand. What you felt is valid," I said softly. A tear slipped down her cheek, and I wiped it away with my thumb, my heart swelling with love for her.
"It feels so good to be with you again," I said, embracing her tightly. "I love you, Yo." I pulled away just enough to kiss her again, this time more passionately. After we broke apart, I held both of her hands and gazed deeply into her eyes.
"Yoko, hindi na ako magsasayang pa ng oras. Can I… court you?" I asked, a mix of hope and nervousness in my voice. I saw the surprise in her eyes, her mouth slightly open in shock.
"You know, to start this story—our story," I added with a warm smile. She smiled back, a tearful glint in her eyes, and nodded. I couldn’t contain my joy. I pulled her into a tight hug, my heart overflowing with happiness.
"Thank you, Yo. You really made me the happiest," I said, holding her close. "Thank you for hearing me and for giving me a chance." We remained wrapped in each other's arms, savoring the warmth and closeness. Being with her felt like something different—something new and profound. Ang pakiramdam na si Yoko lang ang nakakapagbigay sa akin, and it was something I never wanted to lose.
As we embraced, I could feel the sincerity of our emotions mixing together. The pain and confusion of the past few weeks seemed to melt away in the safety of her arms. Every second felt precious, every touch filled with the love and longing we had for each other.
"Faye," Yoko said softly, pulling back slightly to look into my eyes. "I’ve missed you so much. It feels like I’ve been waiting forever to feel this way again." Her voice was filled with emotion, and I could see the sincerity in her eyes.
"I missed you too, Yo," I said, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "It’s been so hard without you. But now that we’re here, I want to make things right. I want us to have a future together, to build something beautiful."
Yoko's eyes sparkled with tears of joy as she nodded. "I want that too, Faye. I want us to start anew and to heal from everything that’s happened."
We held each other tightly, savoring the moment. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of us in our little bubble of happiness. The warmth of her embrace was all I needed to forget the pain and heartache. Siya lang ang tanging kailangan ko, and with her by my side, I felt like everything was finally falling into place.
We spent the rest of the day talking, sharing our hopes and dreams for the future. Every word, every laugh, every touch strengthened our bond. It felt like the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with hope, love, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
As the day wore on, we sat on the bench in her balcony with a comfortable silence, our hands intertwined. Yoko leaned her head on my shoulder, and I rested my cheek against her hair. The world outside might still be uncertain, but in that moment, everything felt right. Magkasama kaming dalawa, at 'yon lang ang mahalaga para sa'kin.
With Yoko beside me, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together. Our love had endured the storm, and now it was stronger than ever. I closed my eyes, letting the peacefulness of the moment wash over me. In Yoko’s arms, I felt truly at home.
