FAYE
Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns, and you don’t know what the end of your story will look like. But looking at the present, with Yoko and me living together, it feels like all the struggles and heartaches have led to something beautiful.
It’s been months since Lux returned to Thailand. Things have calmed down, and Yoko and I are officially together.
"Faye, ikaw na naman ang nanalo," she said, looking at the board with mock annoyance. I grinned at her. "Kasi naman, magaling ako sa mga ganitong laro," I joked. She laughed and got ready to start another round.
As we shared these simple moments, I thought about everything that had happened—the trials, the time with Lux, and how we worked things out. The weeks and months had passed, and now, being with Yoko, I felt certain that fighting for her was the right choice.
"Alam mo, Faye," Yoko said, looking at me with a smile, "hindi ko akalain na magiging ganito tayo. Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan natin, natutunan kong mas mahalin ang bawat araw na kasama ka." Her words touched me deeply. Each day with her felt special, and I cherished every moment more.
"You’re the best part of my life," I replied, trying to show her just how much I love her. Sometimes, simple words hold the most meaning.
As we moved to the kitchen, I had prepared a special dinner for her, filled with her favorite dishes. Her kisses and hugs made me feel incredibly happy.
As we ate, we talked about our future plans, dreams, and how we wanted to start a family. Each conversation was filled with hope and joy, because finally, everything seemed to be falling into place.
"It’s so nice that we’re like this now," Yoko said, holding my hand. I smiled and thanked every moment that allowed us to be together. The challenges were part of our journey, but our love had been the key to everything.
They say true love comes from the simple things, and in the small moments with Yoko, I felt that this was true happiness. Each day was a new beginning, a new chance to be together and enjoy every moment.
Later that evening, as we sat together on the balcony, watching the city lights twinkle below, Yoko turned to me with a smile that lit up her face. Her eyes sparkled with happiness. "Thank you for never giving up on me," she said softly. I cupped her face and kissed her forehead. "You’re my everything, Yoko. I wouldn’t be here without you."
In that quiet moment, I felt a deep sense of contentment washing over me. Despite all the heartaches and challenges, we had found something real and beautiful. Ang pagmamahalan namin ay hindi na kailangan pang patunayan—it’s in the way we look at each other, in the small gestures, and in the moments we share.
I leaned my head on Yoko’s shoulder, and she kissed the top of my head. "Forever, Faye?" she whispered.
"Forever," I answered, feeling the warmth of her embrace. And in that promise, I found my peace.
The End.
