yunho was now alone in mingi's car.he breathed in his scent, still present even with the absence of the boy.
he couldn't help but speculate about the person from earlier. he seemed oddly familiar but he couldn't remember from where. the only thing yunho knew was that, thanks to him he had dodged a bullet. what was he thinking earlier by getting so close to mingi? was it really that tempting to get a taste of his lips?
seeing how he acted so petty in front of hongjoong, maybe mingi misunderstood. maybe he was mad about of what mingi said in the car but he obviously regretted it. and here he was, inside the shorter's car waiting for him to finish talking to this mysterious stranger that came out of nowhere.
they were clearly arguing and that made yunho frown, not because he was jealous, of course not, but because he wanted to go home already.
he looked away when mingi started walking towards the car, looking agitated and pissed off.
he looked at mingi's direction as soon he got in, wondering what just happened. they made eye contact and yunho could see the anger in the other's eyes. then, mingi turned away from yunho, staring into the abyss before he started throwing punches to the steering wheel.
after the whole tantrum, mingi rested his head on the wheel, his hands still gripping it hard.
"what the fuck was that?!"
the blonde turned towards yunho, making eye contact once again. only this time, his eyes were filled with tears. making them shine against the dim sunlight.
"mingi, what's wrong? you can tell me" yunho's voice was now low and filled with worry.
"that was... someone that hurt me really bad" mingi said embarrassed.
"what do you mean?! did he hit you?!"
"no yunho, he-he used to be my boyfriend but he cheated on me. he was also in the basketball team so i couldn't get away from him and now he just told me that he wanted to get back together but i hate him. i hate him so much." right after, mingi started sobbing and yunho just leaned in and hugged him tightly.
"i'm so sorry mingi, i had no idea."
"it's okay, it's not your fault" mingi said in between sobs.
they stayed like that for a little longer, just until mingi had calmed down. yunho then pulled away slowly and wiped mingi's tears away, resting his hand on his wet face.
"yunho" mingi looked at the taller with desperation in his eyes. as if he was about to ask him to never leave.
"yes?"
"i haven't cried like this since i found out. thank you for comforting me."
"of course"
yunho hugged mingi once more and the other returned the hug as well. they slowly pulled away again, their faces still close to each other, just like at the bench earlier.
this time, mingi didn't hesitate. in an instant, he grabbed yunho's face and pulled it towards him. connecting their lips together. they melted into the kiss, yunho gripping mingi's waist and mingi's hands resting on the other's shoulders. the kiss was passionate yet soft, making both of them desperate for more.
unfortunately for mingi, yunho slowly separated their lips, quickly taking his hand off his waist. yunho's expression was unreadable. but then his eyes became wide in realization of what he'd just done.
"i'm sorry" those were the last words yunho said before he got out of the car and started running away.
taken aback by the reaction, mingi just sat there in his car, wondering if he did something wrong for yunho to act that way.
he settled his thoughts and then started driving back to his house. he didn't even have yunho's number to ask where he was, so he just had to go back home alone.
as soon as he got there, he parked his car in the garage and entered the house, going straight to his room. he threw himself on the bed. sighing loudly before touching his lips and remembering the feeling of yunho's soft ones. why did yunho have to react that way? did he just get confused again? he couldn't help but overthink. this boy was driving him crazy and he had to see him again if he wanted to end his agony.
