it had been two weeks and it was finally the day before graduation. of course yunho's was a different day than mingi's so he had to wait an extra day, but that didn't stop him from being excited. about his and his boyfriends efforts.
yes, high school was amazing, he had loyal and caring friends, he was smart and he had basketball to keep him entertained and motivated. not to mention the fact that after patiently waiting for the universe, he'd met his first love, the one he'd hope would be the last as well. he loved high school and yunho was grateful for everything. there was something though, maybe it was intrigue, but that feeling never faded, the feeling of wanting to experience more. going out for drinks with his friends, traveling to different places, pulling all nighters for exams (maybe that one not so much) and most importantly, he wanted to experience all of this with mingi by his side.
he decided to seonghwa and ask if he wanted to run some errands with him to which the other reluctantly agreed. it had been a while since they had hung out outside of school, so yunho was excited to see the older.
seonghwa picked him up half an hour later and they headed to the mall.
"so, what did you want to buy?" the older asked.
"I need to get a nice dress shirt for tomorrow and I want to buy mingi a bouquet of flowers and some balloons. do you think that might be too much?"
seonghwa snorted. "I'm pretty sure he's gonna do the same for you, you guys are so cheesy" he teased.
"ok just say you're single as fuck" yunho cackled as seonghwa glared at him. suddenly seonghwa remembered the news he had for his friend.
"about that...remember the guy from the amusement park?"
"ohh yeah, you mean your crush?"yunho smirked but the other just brushed it off.
"yeah whatever, I saw him at my second orientation the other day and we kind of hit it off so we exchanged phone numbers" seonghwa said suddenly getting all shy.
"are you serious?!!" yunho yelled out of nowhere. "what's his name?"
"Hongjoong, he's really nice and I want to ask him out but he's older than me" seonghwa sounded disappointed but yunho was quick to cheer him up.
"hongjoong as in kim hongjoong?" yunho said suddenly realizing that he was the same who showed mingi and him around campus. no wonder he looked familiar. the boys talked more about seonghwa and hongjoong while going to different stores and trying out clothes. Yunho finally opted on a blue button up and they headed out of the mall to go to the flower shop.
he bought mingi a big bouquet of white roses wrapped in gray paper and blue ribbon to match with his outfit. he got a small card to go on the bouquet and he wrote a cute message. besides the flower, he bought a big balloon of a chicken with a grad cap and another clear one that had confetti on the inside.
they headed back to yunho's house and seonghwa decided to stay for dinner after yunho's mom insisted. when he finally left, yunho waved goodbye from his front door, watching the car drive away. seonghwa's thoughts immediately traced back to their conversation at the mall. he couldn't stop thinking about hongjoong and as if it was a sign, his phone dinged. he pulled over and saw that it was a text from hongjoong.

seonghwa responded a little too fast but he couldn't help it. he turned the car around and started driving towards the dorms.
