as an athlete, mingi was used to waking up no later than six a.m. but today he woke up earlier than usual.
It was four in the morning when his eyes were wide open staring at the empty ceiling. his room was slightly dark because the sun was still hidden but the bright moon shone through the long white curtains making mingi want to see the more of the night.
he stood up and slowly started walking towards the door of his room. yes, his bedroom had a nice view but there was a spot in his house that had become one of his favorite viewpoints.
it was a balcony in his dad's study, that overlooked the backyard. he went inside the empty study and got to his destination. he opened the door to it and regretted not bringing a sweater when the cold night breeze brushed against his skin. he still sat there in awe of how beautiful the moon was.
without even noticing, mingi started to think about yunho. he wondered if the older was looking at the moon right now too (which was probably not the case) and then thoughts of how yunho was way prettier than the moon came to his mind. as soon as a smile broke out on his face, mingi quickly shook his head in denial. how could he be thinking about something like that?
mingi was also thinking about the reason why yunho was in his thoughts so much lately. he felt overwhelmed by his name and so he decide to go back and go for a run.
some people might call him crazy but he knew he was going to be okay since his neighborhood was a safe space. he ended up running for a whole hour and when he came home the sun was starting to rise. he decided he wanted to have breakfast in his spot so he made some food and sat in one of the chairs of the little balcony table. he was enjoying the sunrise when he decided to yet again stalk yunho's insta (not really in his defense).
he noticed he had uploaded yet another story so he tapped on it and his jaw dropped. it was a sunrise picture, but the caption read:
"woke up early for seoul land :)"
mingi was beyond shocked but what worried him the most was that he might find him there. not that he was nervous or anything but right now he was so confused about how he felt about him, so much for hating him.
he ended up going back to the kitchen to wash his plate and then he started getting ready to go pick up his friends.
first he picked up jongho, who only lived three blocks away from his house, another reason why they were close. then he picked up san who was at wooyoung's house already.
what jongho and mingi didn't know was that yunho's friend and jongho's middle school crush, yeosang lived next to woo's house which made them panic instantly. jongho because he was shy even looking at him and mingi because maybe yunho would be at his house too.
unfortunately he wasn't and yeosang was just heading out, he waved at wooyoung and san before they both took off. jongho's heartbeat still a bit crazy but he could get through it.
"don't tell me you still have a crush on yeo?" said wooyoung with a raised eyebrow.
"o-of coursed not. why would i??" a very red jongho snapper back.
"sureee"
they all laughed slightly at jongho's pout after the small conversation and decided to have a little sing along during the ride to distract him.
they finally got to the amusement park getting out of the car and stretching because of the long car ride. jongho ushered them to hurry up since he wanted to get in all of the rides.
mingi was about to lock his car when he heard a familiar voice behind him. the voice of the boy he'd been think about earlier.
