the view infront of me is in constant movement.
mountains to fields.
fields to sea.
sea back to mountains again.with a sigh i turn my head one eighty so that i can look over at the driver.
"Ma', how long is it again?"
"Bambina," she says as her view shifts from the street and over to me instead. i put on the sweetest smile i can; i already know what is about to follow.
"You have to learn patience. Mio Dio, how will you go on in life if you can't be patient?"with a raised eyebrow i return the eye contact until she looks back on the street.
muttering under her breath something that sounds suspiciously like a prayer for god to give her the strenght to not strangle me she surely takes her time until she finally answers."three minutes. and if you had thought to spare a look at the navigation you would have already known that."
"oh." that's all i say; i can't give her any more satisfaction by proving her right any further.
tapping with my left hand against the back of her headrest i can feel her glare burning into my side but i don't react. i have more important things to do.
like hyping myself up for what is about to come.
or better who is about to come.
well, technically it is us who are coming, but, you know, it's a phrase. and no, normally i'm not getting sidetracked like that, but something about visiting my family, my fathers family, just does something to me. it's already weird seeing my father again after, what, two months? with just a few texts here and there. you guys know it. the occasional'hello charlotte'
'hello papa'
'how are you'
'i'm good, how are you?'
'very well, i'm fine'
and then...
just radiosilence until his calender reminds him to check in again.
probably.i can't really blame him though.
with him living in a whole other country i often forget that he even exists as well.there are sometimes phases where he lives with us though.
phases where i feel like we almost resemble a family.
but that's just me.
if real family's are anything like the movies then we probably aren't anywhere near that level.
