"Wow, It's so nice out here but so dark!" Aiden remarked as we walked through the walking trail that they had. Though, the branches and leaves of the tall trees were peeking over us, so it was hard navigating our direction.
"Stop being so loud!" Caily yelled at him. The audacity.
"You're the one who's loud!"
"I'm literally behaved over here!"
"Both of you, shut up!" Charlotte jumped in between the argument of the two, raising her voice to interrupt. "Argh!" she grunted. But Caily and Aiden were still whispering and pointing fingers at each other.
'Ugh, you're getting into my nerves, Daisy.'
"Cut it." I scolded in a cold tone.
"Stop it you guys, no more of that." Keane added. They finally dropped it and went silent.
We have been walking for almost an hour and our surroundings hasn't change once. No other houses, not a structure in this forest. Though, the trees seemed to have gotten thicker as we enter further.
The whole time I kept glancing at Lilith who was beside me. She hasn't said a single word since we left, and I could tell she was troubled by something.
"Charlotte?" said Keane.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Who's managing your party while you're out?"
"Uhh, yeah. Xavier's in charge, my assistant." I saw Caily stopping abruptly at the mention of his name.
"XAVIER?!?!" with what seemed like a thousand alarms going off at the same time, Caily shouted at the top of her lungs. Everybody instinctively slapped their hands against their ears all at once in response to her ear-piercing scream. It felt like a fucking bomb burst in my ears.
'This girl's mouth!'
"Arghh!!" yelled Keane with his eyes closed firmly.
"M-My eeears!!!" Aiden, who was unfortunately right beside her, cried out in pain.
"Oh my god, my ears are bleeding--! Oh wait, it's just my earwax. OH MY GOD MY EARS ARE BLEEDING EARWAX." Charlotte who was acting like she was born to make everything extra dramatic, exclaimed loudly.
"Caily, shut your fucking mouth!" I shouted at her. Her face expressed a guilty awkward smile as she held a peace sign. They started a fight with her.
I glanced at Lilith and she stood still and quiet, spacing out. Like she's completely unaware of all the commotion and yelling around her.
'Seriously, what is her problem?'
"Lilith, are you okay?" I saw Keane approached her first, by tapping her on the shoulder and asking. She quickly lifted her head up, startled.
"H-Huh? Uh, yeah w-why?" her eyes darted towards the others who's currently about to beat each other. "What's going on??" she asked.
"What you got, huh? Huh? You gonna hit me?" both Caily and Charlotte threatened each other in a circle, holding their heels as a weapon ready to throw. It was so stupid I wanted to laugh so bad.
"Can you please just fucking lower down your fucking voice?!" she yelled at her.
"I-I know! I'm sorry okay!" Caily dropped her weapon and surrendered her hands chest height.
Charlotte sighed loudly in annoyance. "Yeah, Xavier! What's it to you, anyway?" she crossed her arms.
"Ohh, hehe... nothing. Can you tell him this number, 604-333-5454."
