A/N: This is a time skip to when all the dragonets are about 3 years old. Nighttracer is 2 years old.
It was a rainy morning when Glory summoned her three dragonets and Daydreamer to her pavilion.
"What is it, mom?" Starchaser asked.
"I would like to send the four of you to Jade Mountain Academy," Glory replied.
"WHAT!?" Daydreamer cried.
"It's about time you got to know the other tribes. Daydreamer, you'll be going as a SkyWing in Sapphire Winglet with Copper and Cleverclaws. Starchaser, you'll be the NightWing in Emerald Winglet. Windrider and Nighttracer, you two will be the RainWings in the Quartz Winglet and the Silver Winglet."
It was only a couple months ago that Jambu and Pineapple had found out that Daydreamer was a SkyWing-RainWing hybrid.
Cleverclaws and Cometsenser found Daydreamer curled up on her favorite tree. Her scales were black, red, orange, pale green, gray blue, pale blue, and purple.
"What's wrong, Dream?" Cometsenser asked in concern as they touched down on two other branches.
"It's just that my aunt wants to send me to JMA," Daydreamer replied unhappily.
"That seems fun, though!" Cleverclaws replied, grinning.
"Plus, we're going too! We'd be together!" Cometsenser added.
"Maybe, but I don't want other dragons to think I'm lazy, just because I'm half RainWing and because of their 'lazy fruit-eater' impression of RainWings." Daydreamer protested.
"Can you control your eye color?" Cleverclaws asked.
When Daydreamer nodded, he continued, "You should have your eyes remain orange or yellow, and if you keep your color changing scales red, gold, or orange, you'll look just like a SkyWing!"
"Of course! You already have the build that's similar to a SkyWing, SkyWing horns, and SkyWing and RainWing snouts are so similar, no one will be able to tell the difference, plus you have the SkyWings' extra horn on your snout. If you fold your small ruff back, I think you'd pass for a perfect SkyWing." Cometsenser caught on with her brother's train of thought.
"I guess that might work, but..." Daydreamer trailed off.
"But what?" Cometsenser prompted.
After taking a deep breath, Daydreamer replied, "But I'm the most worried about the IceWings. There will be so many there, and they judge everyone that they think is 'below' them."
"Maybe if you lay low, and stay out of their way, they might not even bother you," Cleverclaws suggested.
"Very clever, Clever," Daydreamer teased him with an intended pun.
He rolled his eyes as he shoved her off of the branch playfully. Daydreamer's tail caught on a lower branch and she used her tree gliding skills to climb onto a branch of a tree nearby.
The three dragonets laughed as they pranked each other and had tree gliding races that Cleverclaws would tease Cometsenser about losing. Then she would roll her eyes and start play-fighting with him.
