I changed into a pair of kurti and pants as we were about to reach.
"Maa aur Papa ke siva kisi ko nahi pata tumhari health ke baare mein" He informed earning a nod from me.
We reached the palace and I was welcomed with a lot of hugs.
"Bohot yaad kiya hum sabne aapko" Maa Sa said as Kaki Sa gave me a bear hug.
"Maine bhi Maa Sa" I said and walked towards Dadi Sa.
"Hum baat nahi kar rahe aapse" Dadi Sa said turning her face towards the wall.
"Kyu?" I asked standing infront of her.
"2 din bolke gayi thhi, mahine baad lauti hai. Samajhte hai yaad aati hogi, par itni? Humara pota dekha kaise sookh gaya hai tumhare bina reh ke" She said and my eyes widened.
I gazed at Nevan who was coughing vigorously.
"Kuch bhi, weight gain kiya unhone. Bhabhi Sa hoti toh utarta na wazan, workout karte dono" Vedarth said with a smirk but immediately earned a smack from Nevan.
"Sorry na Dadi Sa, mai toh aana hi chahti thhi par Papa aane nahi de rahe thhe" I spoke with a sad pout.
"Koi nai, ab jaane nahi denge tumhe ek saal tak" She said and everyone laughed except me.
"You should go and rest, I'll send something to eat in a few minutes" Maa Sa said as we walked towards the chamber.
I was about to turn towards my room when a sudden grip stopped me, he held my arm and walked me towards his room.
"I can't risk it, you have to stay here" He said and called Rekha.
"Pranam Rani Sa Hukum, swagat hai aapka" She greeted me and I gave a smile.
"Evara ka saman humare closet mein laga do, abse yeh yahi rahengi" He said and I saw Rekha smiling like an idiot.
Hasne wali kya baat hai isme?
"Fresh ho jao, thodi der mein doctor ko bulaya hai" He informed and I immediately looked at him.
"Kyu?"
He walked closer to me and held my hand, looking at the visible scar.
"Kuch tests karvane hai, itna khoon baha diya hai. Dekhna padega kuch bacha bhi hai ya nahi" He said and walked towards the balcony.
Ajeeb banda hai sacchi.
"Rani Sa Hukum, aapke aur Hukum ke liye Naashta" Tara said keeping a tray full of fruits, nuts and other snacks on the table.
I gave a nod and she left, I walked into the bathroom and took a shower. Changing into a suit, I walked out while he was sleeping calmly.
Parag walked in with a doctor.
"Rani Sa Hukum, can you wake him up?" He asked and I gave a nod.
"Nevan, wake up!" I muttered walking closer to him but he didn't listen so I leaned closer to his ear and whispered.
"Utho Nevan, Doctor aa gaye hai"
He opened his eyes and looked at me for a minute.
"Sorry, I didn't realise when I fell asleep" He said and quickly got up.
The doctor took my blood and Nevan was shocked that I didn't wince for once, ofcourse I am habitual now.
"Hukum, aapse ek baat kehni thhi. Pehle bhi kehna chahte thhe par mauka nahi mila" The doctor said and Parag was about to stop him but Nevan signalled to not interfere.
"Baithiye" Nevan said and I was about to leave when he held my hand.
"Aapse kaha baithne" I gave a nod and took the seat.
The doctor kept standing until I nudged Nevan with my elbow to ask him to sit.
"Have a seat doctor" He said and the doctor followed.
"I visited one of the public schools 2 months ago, we decided to arrange a medical camp for children around there. But unfortunately there were no children, parents don't send them to study anymore" He said and my gaze immediately turned towards Nevan.
"Why?" He asked.
"They say studying will be a waste of time, rather they should let the child earn something so they could eat a meal once a day" He explained and I understood the matter.
"Why don't we provide a meal at school? They want the child to earn a meal, if we provide it for free they will surely send the children. Reduces their expense and it's beneficial for the children. Also the remaining food can be packed and given to their siblings if they have any" I said and the doctor smiled.
"That's a great idea Rani Sa Hukum" He said and Nevan looked at me for a second.
"Who will cook?" He asked.
"We have enough chefs, don't we? They hardly cook for 100 people a day, we can increase their salary or maybe hire some more chefs. This increases employment and income sources for a lot of people" I explained and he smiled.
"We have 3 public schools in total" He thought I'd change my mind.
"Sabke liye khaana banta hai, baccho ke liye bhi bann jayega" I replied.
"Kal subah hum khud teeno schools dekhne jayenge, we will talk to the staff and also we'll need the total population of kids who are enrolled and also those who aren't yet enrolled" Nevan said and the doctor finally stood up.
"Shukriya Aap dono ka" He said and left.
I got up and was about to leave when I felt a pull on my dupatta, I looked back to see him holding the end of my dupatta. He started pulling it and I stepped closer.
"Thank you, for accepting my people" He muttered.
"I am not the one to accept them, they have to accept me" I said and he got up, looking straight in my eyes.
"Jaadu tona toh tu bachpan se hi karti hai, un par bhi kar hi legi" He was trying to tease me like he used to do years ago.
I glared at him and walked towards Maa Sa and Baba Sa's chamber.
