E V A R A

"I am such a bad omen" I talked to myself and tried to find the blade, it's been missing since we came back from Chandigarh.

I looked around the room to find something similar to a blade but there was nothing.

"Rekha! Tara! Koi hai?" I called out the names of both my helpers.

Soon anklets were heard and I knew one of them was coming.

"Ji Hukum" Rekha said standing at the door.

"I need a Blade or a knife" I spoke and her eyes suddenly changed.

"Sorry, we don't have one" She muttered and was about to leave.

"Bazaar se le aao"

"Na Hukum, hum nahi laa sakte" She clearly ran away like I was asking for some drug.

I walked towards the kitchen and took an apple.

"Give me a knife, I will need it to cut this apple" I said and the cook handed it to me.

I finally reached back to the chamber and locked myself in the room.

I looked at the blade lying infront of me, it had dried blood on it, I found it in the bathroom when we were in Chandigarh. She said she injured her thumb but I have a gut feeling that something is not true.

I have told her helpers to tell me instantly if she asks for a knife or cutter or anything sharp.

My phone started ringing.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hukum Sa, Rani Sa Hukum has taken a knife from the kitchen" I heard Rekha's voice.

"Who gave it to her?" I asked.

"She took it from the cook" Ofcourse the cook won't question her.

"Stay around her, I'll be there in a few minutes" I said and quickly rushed to the parking lot.

I drove as fast as possible but Udaipur traffic is getting worse these days, bloody tourists.

I reached home in 20 minutes and rushed towards our chamber.

"Khamma Ghani Hukum Sa" Tara and Rekha greeted.

"Ghani Khamma" I replied and signalled them to leave.

I knocked on her door and waited but after a few minutes I turned the knob and it was already open.

I walked in and saw she wasn't there but the sound of running water was audible.

"Evara! Come out we need to talk" I said but she didn't reply.

Finally I unlocked the bathroom using an alternate key, I saw her lying in the bathtub, she was wearing the same saree that I saw her into this morning. She had passed out and yes the knife was also placed there but thankfully it didn't have any blood stains.

I carried her to my room and asked Tara and Rekha to change her clothes.

Until then the doctor had arrived.

"Weakness and extreme exhaustion, she needs to eat and rest more" He said and prescribed a few vitamin pills.

I let her sleep and decided to discuss it with Maa Sa.

"Maa Sa, hum aa sakte hai?" I asked.

"Bilkul! Kya hua?" She questioned.

I was a bit hesitant but I had to share it with someone.

"Evara is probably trying to harm herself, she fainted due to weakness and the doctor has asked to feed her more than she does" I explained.

"Ofcourse, she eats less than Radhya does and she is going through the toughest phase. Betrayal in love is worse and what's worst is that she didn't pay heed to her family all along" Maa Sa said and just then she looked at me with a hope.

"Aapko thode samay ke liye unke saath akele rehna chahiye, go and stay in Kundan Mahal. It might give you some time to figure out everything and also you can tell everyone that it's kind of a pre-honeymoon" Maa Sa explained and I gave a nod.

"I need to find the attackers" I said and just then my phone rang.

"Sir, we have found a lead. The men that attacked the hotel on the day of your wedding were seen on the outskirts of the city" Parag informed.

"Keep the team ready, inform the cops. We'll leave in a few minutes" I touched Maa Sa's feet.

"I need to hunt them down today" I said and she smiled widely.

"God Bless you with all the courage, luck and love" She spoke and I quickly ran out with the bodyguards.

We reached the place and thankfully they had no idea about our arrival, the cops arrested them and we started questioning the 4 idiots.

"Coming straight to the point, who sent you?" I asked.

"You can kill us but we won't say" The main guy replied with a chuckle.

I rolled my eyes and smirked at him.

"You want me to call your son and daughters here? I can ruin everyone's life in a minute" I threatened and he gulped with nervousness.

"He will kill me if I tell you anything" The man said.

"He won't! How will he reach out to you in jail?" I asked and he thought for a minute.

"He stays in Canada, everyone calls him Dadda" He said.

"Dadda" I repeated before holding the gun.

I shot them one by one and asked the inspector to handle it further.

"Hukum Sa, Maa Sa Hukum called to inform that Rani Sa Hukum has woken up" Parag informed as we got into the car.

"Evara" I called.

She walked out of the bathroom, she was wearing a cotton night suit.

"Ji" Her voice sounded off.

"We are shifting to Kundan Mahal for a few days, pack your important stuff" I informed as she immediately walked into the closet.

"Hello, he goes with the name 'Dadda'. Find him anyhow!" I ordered and ended the call immediately.

We both left for Kundan Mahal and reached there in an hour, It's half on land and half on the lake.

"There's only helpers and us in the palace, I suggest we share a room because I want to assure you are safe" I said and she just nodded.

I was busy with an online meeting while she wrote something in her diary.

We had dinner and she had a little more food than she usually does.

"Take care of yourself, I don't want anyone to think that I am not keeping you happy" I said earning no expressions from her.

She will get better I guess.
