I woke up to an empty bed, a smile formed on my lips thinking about the conversation we had last night.
"You are smiling Ev" I said to myself as I realised it's the first time I am smiling widely in the morning and not crying about my fate.
I got up and took a long shower, I decided to wear an Indian suit today.
Walking through the corridors I saw him talking to one of the helpers. I walked closer and he turned towards me as the anklets made their usual sound.
He smiled widely and so did I.
"Good Morning" He muttered and I replied with the same.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer just to kiss my forehead, my eyes widened and he just chuckled.
"No one's gonna look" He said and walked me towards the living area.
"Good Morning" Everyone wished together and I greeted them back.
"You are glowing Evi" Harvi Chachi said and I had no response.
Nevan chuckled lowly as he placed his hand on my thigh under the table.
"You know, I was planning to arrange a Honeymoon trip for Nevan and Evara from our side" Mumma said and Maa Sa joined in.
"We all should plan for them as they aren't taking any interest" Dadi Sa taunted.
Their talks continued and I was a bit shy at the point.
"I am telling you they won't give up, tell me already if you have any place in your mind" Nevan whispered.
I always wished to have a calm honeymoon, just me, my husband and a place to stay with a pretty view and a swimming pool. That's it!
I leaned closer to him and he did the same to help me reach his ear.
"I just want a normal staycation with a good view from the room, nothing adventurous and tiring" I explained and he smiled widely.
"Guysss! We don't want a fancy honeymoon, I have already planned everything and we are going by this weekend" He announced.
"Where?" Maa Sa asked.
"Surprise bhi rehne do kuch" He said and was about to leave but stopped for a second to place a kiss on my cheek.
I turned as red as a tomato, Kaki Sa's words not mine.
Papa sulked at my husband while others were awed.
The day was going great until I felt hungry and ran towards the kitchen, I got seated on the counter top with folded legs and held a knife in my hand. I started cutting an apple, pear and peach.
I heard a few loud footsteps and arguments, I was about to get up but before that Nevan rushed in. He saw the knife in my hand and ran towards me, the knife was thrown at a corner the next second.
"Phir se?" He asked huffing.
"I was cutting fruits" I said handing him the bowl with half cut fruits.
His eyes widened and I just pouted sadly, Mumma, Maa Sa, Chachi and Kaki Sa were chuckling now. I walked towards them and winked playfully, Nevan followed me as I acted sad and ran towards our room.
"Khaa le Eva" He pleased forwarding a piece of peach towards me.
"Kaise? Aadhe hi kate hue hai" I said without stopping for him.
"Arre mujhe laga..." He started speaking but I interrupted.
"Kya laga? Nevan trust me I want to give us a chance, I want to give myself a chance. Mujhe pata hai kisi ka dil todna kitna galat hota hai, mujhe pata hai jhoothe sapne dikhana kitna bura hota hai. Mai kuch bhi kar sakti hu bas tumhe jo kal raat bola hai usse palat nahi sakti. Nahi chhorke jaungi ab mai, na tumhe aur na baaki sabko. Tumne umeed di hai mujhe, aur mai tumhari umeed kaisi Tod sakti hu?" I felt his arms wrapping around my waist from behind as his chin rested on my shoulder.
"Bas yeh hi sunna thha, ab tu gayi toh yaad rakhna peeche peeche aaunga" He warned earning a chuckle from me.
He turned me around and instantly pressed his lips on mine, I couldn't keep up with his roughness. He wasn't giving me the time to reciprocate, he held my wrists in one hand to stop me from pushing him and his other hand was holding my face. He finally broke the kiss and immediately wrapped his arms around me as I lost my balance. He pressed kisses on my whole face and I giggled.
"Chalogi na honeymoon pe?" He asked.
"Kaha le ja rahe ho?" I questioned back.
"Bali" He replied and just then we heard a knock.
"Hukum, you have a meeting in an hour" Parag informed and Nevan gave me a sloppy kiss.
"I'll be back before dinner" He informed and left immediately.
My husband literally came back to check if I was ok or not, he could have called or something.

I waited for Nevan, it was 7:16 pm now.
It started raining and I took a seat near the balcony, the water droplets were creating a serene melody. The drops reached my face and I smiled widely, step by step I was totally under the open sky, the coldness made me shiver but somewhere it filled life in me.
