6. The Beginning Of A Great Adventure

2 months later, Kantomaru read some information about the entrance exams in Sunagakure, he was surprised to learn that everyone had two tries, which means that if they failed, they could retry next year even though it meant that they would be in a classroom full of people one year younger than them. He also found out that they would check people chakras potency, quality and amount to see if they were fit to be a ninja.

Luckily for him, he had trained his chakra control so much and used it up to the limit everyday, so he was sure that he had high chakra reserves and good quality of it, even though he couldn't actually check that. Lastly, he also saw that some years before they had put shuriken and kunai throwing practice shots, so he went to his room and thought this through thoroughly.

'So I have a good enough control of my earth element I can make small rocks soft perfectly and instantly while also being able to make them solid again and also make them crumble, I think it's about time I learn how to sculptures of earth just like clay sculptures, like that I can make earth kunai and shuriken even though the weight may be different to actual ones it doesn't matter as long as I'm able to get better. This will help me get better with my kunai and shuriken accuracy and also increase my control over the earth element while also helping me gain better chakra control. The process by which I will make them goes as followed, I'm going to make the earth soft then slowly but surely make it harder while carefully making the shape of the weapons, I should also make an earth target so I can practice my shots more precisely.'

And so, 4 more months had flown by and today was finally the academy selection day. In this time Kantomaru had seen great improvement he was now able to make kunai's, shurikens, teddy bears, Senbon, a shuriken practice target and many more things, all just with his earth element. He had also made significant physical changes, Kantomaru now once again stood before his bathroom mirror, a sense of pride swelling within him as he observed his reflection. The changes were remarkable.

He had grown taller, now standing at 4 feet—a significant height for a 6-year-old, thanks to his nutritious diet. His once-average frame had transformed into a lean, muscular build that spoke of strength and determination. His broad shoulders and well-defined chest were a testament to his hard work. Lean, muscular arms showcased his newfound power, and his abs, now a series of solid ridges, indicated his core strength. His legs, strong and toned, suggested both speed and endurance. As he observed himself, Kantomaru couldn't help but smile at the visible veins tracing across his muscles, highlighting his low body fat and high muscle mass. His skin had a healthy, vibrant glow, and his posture exuded confidence. This transformation wasn't just physical; it was a reflection of his dedication and willpower, making him not only stronger but more resilient and focused.

During these 4 months he had increased his training, and he was now able to do 3 sets of 40 push ups, 50 sit ups, 40 dips, a 4-minute plank, 50 squats and a 20km run around the edges of the cursed oasis. Lastly in his control of chakra he made massive improvement due to all the earth style training, the leaf excersise and also the tree excersise, he was now able to meditate on a tree while being sat on it vertically, and having 4 leafs stuck to his forehead for about an hour, thanks to using chakra, he was also able to meditate on the water for a long period of time. His chakra control was truly something to be proud of.

Kantomaru murmured to himself 'right now my skills in opening locks have greatly increased, but I've hit a wall as I don't have any safes to try unlocking on, I can only open somewhat fortified doors as I used the basement of the orphanage as practice. I also haven't advanced in the makeup department, as I'm yet to ask for the makeup kit, I'll probably get it myself when I'm able to get my own money, however I have an idea on how and where to apply make up.

First, I'll make a earth mask that fits my face perfectly by manipulating the earth, then I'll harden the outside part of the mask and soften the inside part of it, then since the inside will be soft and sticky I will stick it onto my face, and then harden it to make it be stuck onto my face. But before all of this I will paint the outside of the mask with foundation, makeup and many other things, to look like the person I want it to be. There is one problem though, if it happens to rain during a mission the paint will come off and the mask will turn back to mud, so I will have to be careful'.

So after he had his shower he got ready and had breakfast, he also decided to not train and just rest for the day as he didn't want to be tired and fail the entry test, however before he went out he did light stretches and then the caretaker Hana made his favourite food which was tempura as good luck for his entry exam, tempura is a Japanese dish that is made out of crispy deep fried sea food and vegetable,  it had things like prawns, sweet potatoes and carrots and udon soup to dip the prawns.

After eating and getting changed he went with 10 other kids that wanted to join and the director, to be honest he didn't know their names and it was only 10 as the orphanage wasn't that large and many where older about 8 or 9 years old, while they where 6 years old.
