'He really is a monster, and his second fight went pretty much the same as the first one, I need a lot of training to be able to beat him. Maybe I should refine my swordsmanship.'
And then suddenly as if by magic, Zoro appeared in front of Kantomaru in a whirl of sand.
"I'm here to fulfill my promise, however it will happen after the tournament because I'm 2 weeks there isn't much sword techniques that would really help you. So let me teach you something else, seeing as how your my top student despite being a civilian and not having access to jutsu like the other clan members." After koketsu said those words and before Kantomaru could response, he payed his hand on Kantomaru's head and they suddenly disappeared in a whirl of sand.
A couple of seconds later at the outskirts of the cursed oasis, Kantomaru was sitting down on a rock while observing something fascinating. Zoro was appearing and disappearing almost like his body was flicking, of course Kantomaru remembered this technique from the anime and the character Shisui the body flicker, he had always wanted to learn it however he didn't have access to jutsu like those because it seemed like in Sunagakure anything you wanted to get you'd have to earn it.
"That was the body flicker technique as you probably already knew, however that's not what I'm going to teach you, what I'm going to teach you is how to get to those speeds with purely your chakra. Now do your remembered in the final moments against the Great Sand Anaconda? You and Genki awakened new powers and after that Genki was able to use his, but you weren't, what you awakened was the next stage of your chakra skin, it's chakra skin level 2."

During the 2 weeks Kantomaru was a subject to the most brutal training that he had ever faced, well that's if you could even call it training. It basically consisted of him sitting down for the entirety of the first day to concentrate on manipulating his chakra skin level 2. After the first day it was just him constantly trying to dodge 12 stones from 6 clones of Zoro each constantly throwing two stones at him at moderate speed.
He had to dodge all the stones for an hour without deactivating his chakra skin stage 2, he couldn't do this till this till the fourth day as it took him 3 days to master it. Then from the 5th to the 10th day he had to spar with Zoro until the night with a few brakes, while also doing some excersises with weights on. Lastly on the last 3 days, he punched many trees and rocks so he could get the right technique while punching and inserting his chakra inside the rocks to break them from the inside. After this brutal training which allowed no rest days minus the last day where they went to a professional to get massages and then went to then had an ice bath to recover completely, he was now ready to battle.
The next morning.
"Ladiesssss and gentlemennnnn, we are back with the finishing touches of the greatest tournament in the land of wind. Let's get straight to the action. The first match in the round of 16 will begin with the boy who hasn't so much as been scratched this whole tournament, they even say that he was left without a scratch in the preliminary round aswell, the phantom of the Nara clan, Kantomaruuuu, his opponent is the mighty Sand Bear who's said to eat rocks for breakfast, Borta Glacial. Now since both participants are ready then let's get started.
3...2.1... Goooo! Immediately after the signal, the reckless fifth-year Borta charged at full speed toward Kantomaru, swinging a powerful right hook at his face. Kantomaru easily evaded it. Borta tried again and again, his fists flying, but Kantomaru dodged each one with ease. It was obvious that Borta was all brute strength, with no technique or strategy behind his punches. Finally, growing bored, Kantomaru stepped back to dodge an incoming punch, then ducked under Borta's stretched-out arm, stepped forward, grabbed his face, and slammed it against the ground.
Dust exploded around them as Borta's head hit the earth. Kantomaru calmly stepped back into his fighting stance, waiting as Borta slowly got back up, blood dripping from his nose. Fuming with anger, Borta readied himself to charge again, but before he could make a move, Kantomaru threw a smoke bomb to the ground, enveloping them in thick smoke. Borta stumbled, unable to see, but Kantomaru stayed calm, focusing on the sounds of Borta's breathing and footsteps to locate him.
The moment he heard movement, Kantomaru activated his chakra skin stage two and launched a barrage of strikes, each one landing with pinpoint precision. Left, right, under, over-Borta was pummeled from every angle, overwhelmed by the speed and power of Kantomaru's attacks. Finally, Kantomaru drove a devastating punch into Borta's face, sending him flying out of the smoke. Kantomaru reappeared below him in midair and delivered a brutal kick to Borta's chin, rocketing him further upward.
In a flash, Kantomaru leapt up, focused all his chakra into his right leg, and spun, delivering a crushing back heel kick to Borta's torso. The impact shattered Borta's ribs and bones, sending him hurtling back to the ground, where he crashed with a deafening impact, leaving a crater in his shape. As the dust settled, Kantomaru landed nearby, calm and composed, as the crowd looked on in stunned silence. The fight was over; Borta, despite being a seasoned fifth-year, had been utterly outmatched.
