Grian was always shunned. All for something so simple, well, I guess he always stood out. Who wouldn't stare and whisper when they looked at him?

He was an avian, a race known for dull but majestic looking wings, whether they were a shade of brown or the rare white.

But, Grian was different. His mom had lovely chestnut coloured wings, and his father had white wings. And little Grian?

His feathers were red. From the moment he was born. Then they were yellow, and then different blues. All sorts of blending beautiful shades into a lovely gradient resting on his back and ears.

Of course, no one would admit they thought Grian's wings were beautiful. And besides, beauty meant deadly. At least under Mother Nature's rules.

So, when Grian was offered the chance to display his wings, and not hide in disgust and fear, how could he say no?

A contortionist. It's an interesting word, is it not? And, he supposed, it fit Jevin perfectly.

After all, since he was a small child, Jevin loved bending backwards and touching his ankles. It became the way he stretched in the morning!

Of course, it horrified everyone around him, when he used the flexibility of his skin to stretch himself. Or when Jevin would bend in ways that shouldn't be possible.

At first he adored it, finding the flexibility cool. But then his mother would chastise him, and kids would scream and cry when he would bend.

And then, he started to feel as though his odd flexibility wasn't as amazing as he thought. Instead something to feel ashamed of.

That was, until that brunette visited him. Joking around and challenging Jevin. No one was more flexible than the blue haired teen.

So, when Jevin showed off, and the brunette grinned and offered him somewhere to bend as much as he wanted, he just knew. He wouldn't say no.

Xisuma was a buzzy person. Figuratively and literally. He was a bee hybrid, after all. Of course, bee hybrids weren't supposed to shoot little knives out of their arms, but he did.

No matter how interesting he found his own advancement, the people around him only put him down. Well, except for his brother.

"The strange stingers were dangerous!" They'd say.

"'Suma, keep those.. things, to yourself, alright?" His mother told him as a child.

But, as Xisuma was throwing around said shunned stingers with his little brother trying to catch them with magic, someone approached.

He had a large smile, it almost unsettled X.

But, when he heard the proposition, of acceptance and of love, there's no way he could deny him and Xay that.

Stress hummed to herself, peacefully watering flowers. She was an artist, and she loved painting her flowers and hanging it on her walls. She hoped her customers liked them too.
