One month. It had been one whole month since I have been living in Nefaria.

"You look pretty." My heart skipped a beat as I felt his gaze seep into my skin.

I smiled. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on behind those stoic eyes.

It was finally the day when we meet the Prince. The one who had been kept hidden from the world by the Royal Family until now. I hadn't met anyone is long, let alone a Prince!

Today was the crowning ceremony of the Prince as he turned seventeen. But Justin had arranged for us to meet him before the ceremony.

"Do I look okay?" I asked, trying to sound casual despite the growing butterflies in my stomach.

"Does it look too much? I've never met a Prince, so I have no idea how to dress."

Justin's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "You look perfect," he said, his voice low and husky. "But wait—"

"Here," he said, his eyes shining with warmth as he returned to me.

Inside the box was the most exquisite piece of jewelry I had ever seen – a delicate silver necklace adorned with a small, shimmering diamond.

"This is too beautiful. I can't take it Justin." I immediately said, it must've belonged to Janice. I had no right over it, neither did I have her permission.

"Why? This will look nice on you." He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Is it—" We hadn't talked about Janice except one time when Justin had asked me if Cole told me about 'her' and I had said yes. "Does this belong to Janice?"

"Yes. It did."

"Then it still does. I can't take it Justin." I replied firmly.

"It's of no use sitting in the shelf." He argued softly.

It was no ordinary piece of jewelry, it seemed quite expensive. I shook my head.

"Please," he whispered, "Take it. It will bring me comfort if you wear it."

I felt a lump form in my throat as I looked at him. "Are you sure she wouldn't mind?"

"Yes. Look, I'm sorry for anything the clone did to but it's not her..she's no in her control. It's just her—" He struggled to find words.

I could see the pain and sadness in his eyes, and I felt a pang of sympathy for him. I knew that losing someone you loved was one of the hardest things that could happen.

"It's okay. I don't blame her, she's suffered as much as I have if not more."

Gradually, I was building my life here, it's beginning to feel like home, at least second home. Of course I miss my real life but I don't hate this as much as I used to back when I was new.
