Part One: The Elves

Vladimir's POV

I touched the crystal ball, gliding my hands across its smooth, glass surface. The inside was a smoky mix of blues, purples and greens, which worried me. That usually meant that it was in the process of putting together a new series of events into a broken, unclear prediction of the future.

I sighed and sank into a nearby armchair, tired of waiting for a response from the ball.

I feel like something new is happening. A weird but familiar feeling.

But where is it from?

My thoughts were then interrupted by the crystal ball's vivid color changing into a blank, milky white.

I quickly stood up and took the ball into my hands. I shook the ball and said to it: "Show me. Show me my future!"

But the ball responded as it usually did, with blurry, unclear images taking place of the white smoke. But even with the unclear images, I could recognise a few things. A ghost, a young child, and a broken wand. I thought to myself. But what are the others? I slowly got up and then walked up to my bookshelf. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hey Guys!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a long time, but I have been writing Golden Stars in the time I was gone.

But during that time, I made a few important changes to the plot, so I had to remove the preface and put in this as the beginning.

Enjoy!
