The challenge

When they started writing the story for this film, Walt told his men to NOT make it like Snow White. 

And judging by the similar ending, that was kinda... well, hard. 

There are still some similarities between the two. 

For instance, the prince comes out of nowhere and sings with the princess in both movies. 

And in the end, both Snow White and Aurora get put to sleep and kissed back to life. 

There are also some connections to Cinderella in here. 

Both Aurora and Cinderella have fairy godmothers. And they both get surprised with new dresses.

The movie is basically a combination between Snow White and Cinderella.
