Mary's debut


Aurora may not have had much dialogue, but that didn't stop her voice from becoming famous. 

When she was cast, Walt told Mary Costa that she had a very warm voice, and that was how he wanted Aurora to sound. 

And when she did the vocalizing in the forest, she was told to let the forest embrace her and it came naturally. 

Thanks to that, this movie launched Mary's career as an opera singer. 

In the 60s, she appeared on well-known shows like The Ed Sullivan Show and The Hollywood Palace, just to sing some opera. 

My favorite though, is this one where she sang a Christmas medley with Bing Crosby.
